Just 15 min walking distance from Long Beach Convention Center and Aquarium. I used this hotel while on a business trip and didn't need to rent a car. A room might be too tiny if you like to spend a lot of time in the...More
I enjoyed my stay at the Varden. It is full of history, friendly employees, and the location can't be beat. Yes, the rooms are small, but they are creatively and efficiently designed for maximum use of space in a historical building. There is a European...More

The Varden has a lot right next to it for parking with no extra charge so all is good on that point. Ask for a darker room if they have one, but we've never had a problem with noise or too much light and we stay on New Year's Eve. It's a boutique hotel concentrating on Service which is GREAT. Very compact rooms with high-end bedding and toiletries. It does have a tv, free wifi and wine in the early evening and coffee and continental breakfast in the morning. Lovely personal owners and staff. Have a great stay in Long Beach!
