We stayed at the Saddleback Inn on the recommendation of our friends from Running Springs. Cute little cabins and appeared to be very clean. All the steps were challenging in spots. Close to Lake Arrowhead Village, so we were able to walk over on Saturday and partake in the Oktob

The rooms and cabin are old and need major updating. The bedding and bathroom amenities are very old, dated and worn out.

We ate at the hotel restraunt and the food was very good but alachol is

Charming Saddleback Inn is located just steps from Lake Arrowhead Village which makes it a prime location.

The grounds themselves were serene with about 8-10 cabins nestled in between tall lush trees. The restaurant and bar area of the inn was grand with beautiful woodwork thr

Great pub ambience with drop dead good pot pie!
Can’t recommend the bloody Mary’s as they were weak not spicy. But the pot pie makes up for it.
Fireplace would be cozy on a winter visit. Happy hour is 4-6.

Stayed in room 16 above reception. Comfortable enough but you can hear other guests ascending the stairs and from attic room above. The wooden floors afford no sound proofing and guests leaving the restaurant or the 711 opposite can easily be heard through closed windows.

Based on my research lake arrowhead has private beaches and they require pass to enter. Does the inn offer a pass to those beaches? If not, is there a public beach that is kids friendly?
According the Lake Arrowhead website: "Please be aware that Lake Arrowhead is a private lake. Therefore, it's use is restricted to homeowners in a tract of land roughly 1 mile around the perimeter of the lake, known as "Arrowhead Woods". However, many lake-related activities are available to the general public. Visitors to the area can access Lake Arrowhead by boat on The Arrowhead Queen Lake Tour, by water ski through the McKenzie Water Ski School, or on foot by strolling at Lake Arrowhead Village."

"Do not get a room that overlooks the main hgy as it is very nosy all day and night."
"ask for the room that does not hear karaoke which is Tuesdays and Fridays 8pm until 12AM"
"Definitely get a cabin farther back as it's right on a busy street."
"Don't book a cottage in the front adjoining the parking lot"
"Not all rooms have fireplaces, so double check if you want one."
