We were put here by All Japan Tours. Happily this is our last ryokan experience. This place like many we have stayed in is run down and has seen better days. Bathroom needs to be gutted. Room reeks of wet tatami. Some updates have been...More
A hotel itself is dated, staff at the reception couldn't speak much English, making the communication rather daunting for foreigners staying there. The japanese-style room we stayed in is very small for 4 adults, however, the cosy and comfortable bedding made up for it. We...More

You're probably going to take the JR from Hakodate to Sapporo. Get off at JR Norboribetsu station. From there you can take the Donan bus (ask if it goes to Hell Valley). Get off at last stop (foot baths). The hotel is right next to that stop. If the last stop is not foot baths, there's a 10 min hike gentle uphill from the Hell Valley. Bus ride is 15-30 min from the JR. otherwise taxi works too :)
