We stayed here in December 2017 and had a great time. Language is definitely a major issue here. But we somehow got around it. The villas were beautiful, well appointed and very comfortable. A tad pricey though! There is nothing else to do here but ski, that’s very well orgNised here

We have 5 people stayed in The Prince Karuizawa Villa for 3 days. It was great and very relaxing. We came here for ski and our villa is very close to the ski course, 3 minutes walk. It is also very close to the shopping mail. The room was very clean and well equipped. They provide many different drinks without charge. Space is good enough for 5 people. Outside environment is nice. We could relax and enjoy snacks and wine in the reception area and the foods were good. The staff are professional and nice also. We definitely will come back here. Thank you for their hospitality :)

We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa during December that sleeps 6 comfortably. The villas are exclusively tucked in a corner of the sprawling property , yet close enough to all the amenities. Like many have mentioned in their reviews , the villas are well fitted and very comfortable for family holidays. It comes with additional perks at the Center clubhouse exclusively for villa guests only where they provide daily breakfast , and also small bites and drinks throughout the day. Guests also get to be chauffeured anywhere within the property with a phone call. Overall , they made every effort to give the guests at the villa a sense of privilege and exclusivity. Our villa cost US$1000-1200 per night. We spend almost the entire day at the ski and returned only in the evening. Effectively , we used it only to sleep and occasional get together after dinner. It is a nice experience at the villa but one that I will not pay for again should I be back. Having said that , Karuizawa Prince is an expensive holiday resort to start off with so do expect to be paying above average prices for everything that you use or consume. But the overall level of service and hospitality at the resort is unparalleled which makes the parting of your hard earned money less painful. My rating of the resort is highly skewed towards the price point against the amount of actual usage I received in the end. For those with some spare cash and finding an ideal location to meet the demand of different family members , Karuizawa Prince is probably one of the option to look at.

We stayed in this wonderful villa for 3 nights, and the only thing I would complain about is that we couldn't stay there forever……The lodge is spacious and cozy, located in a beatiful woods and so apart from each other. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the center house, which provided food and drinks for free till 10pm, is another great service for us. Shuttle service to and from the area around the whole resort and the outlet especially for the guests of Prince villa can be ordered anytime. Love this place sooooooo much and we will definitely come back in summer again!

It was a fantastic experience staying with friends and family. My family went with another family which was 8 of us. Villa was clean, spacious and comfortable. Big and open kitchen. Seems price is really high. But it includes almost everything, breakfast, lounge opens till 10 pm with free drinks and food. Our kids went there every day after whole day skiing. Also free passes for ski lift, free access to spa... We had dinner in villa every night. You can order from hotel or shop your own food from supermarkets.

The villas are located in the big Prince Resort complex but the beauty of the luxurious villa is that although it is a stone's throw away from the hotel complex, the villa with its own club house has a distinctive and secluded feel to it and yet benefit from the ski area and the huge Prince hotel outlet malls. Rooms are generous in size and is Nordic in decoration style. Breakfast, tea, and evening canapés are provided free of charge in the club house and are of a very high quality. The public onsen which guest of the villa can visit free of charge is a must visit. Karuizawa has a lot of high quality European restaurants and good noodle shops. A few concerns: you have to be careful about the ski lift waiting time which can be considerable over the weekends and the ski area is limited. Also the hotel does not offer any restaurant reservation services other than those within the Prince Hotel complex - this is the biggest drawback which if you do not speak Japanese, you are very much in trouble if you want to pre-reserve some of the better European restaurants.

This was an wonderful resort that was more or less equivalent and at times beyond expectation. The club-house, or called the 'Center' has excellent hospitality service. The staff provide 'omotenashi' level courtesy that is re-knowned by the Japanese. The breakfast and its happy hour were beyond expectation. Food and alcoholic beverage for your enjoyment until your stomach and tastebuds is content. The Villa that I stayed in with family member was 5106. No complaints at all. Fully furnish with everything that you can image. It was unfortunate that we didn't have the opportunity to try out there chef service. But I can imagine it being excellent. It is also conveniently located from a big factory outlet mall.

We just spent two wonderful nights at The Prince Villa in Karuizawa. We chose a villa with private outside bath. There were three bedrooms and three bathrooms and an outside soak-in tub. The staffs were very attentive and friendly. They served breakfast, afternoon snacks, and evening appetizers at the center house, where you check in and check out. The breakfast was just wonderful. They served Japanese style and western style alternatively. Varieties are great and very satisfying. The location of our villa was tacked away and very private. Soaking in an outside bath was very refreshing, and taking a bath really kept us warm through out the night, although the weather was very chilly. The floors of villa were heated and made it easier walking barefoot on the wood floor. We liked the villa so much that we are already planning to visit the place again in this fall.
