It is just a 5-min walk from the hotel to the shopping outlet. The rooms are spacious and the wifi is fast. The breakfast is not bad but it is a bit on the expensive side. The price you pay is for the location and the beautiful environment of the hotel. You can never fault the location , especially if...

This is the first time for me to stay in cottage in Japan. There are many choices for breakfast, but it is quite crowd during peak hour especially during snow season. The buggy to our cottage is not that flexible. It might take you 30 mins to wait for a buggy. We walked to our house most of the time...

Hotel is in a Shopping Plaza area, next to Shinkansen Station. Convenient to travel from Tokyo. Resort style cottage is very good for family. Should go for ski next time. Area is very big, took a while for shuttle bus to arrive.

The staff in Prince West are courteous and professional. They checked in quickly (about less than a minute maybe!). No more asking for credit cards just an ID, and then done! You wait for the cart that brings you to the cottages. The 2-bedroom cottage in the middle of the snow park is very comfortable and charming! It is warm...

I'm a big fan of Japan ski trips and over the years have gone to different resorts around Nagano and Hokkaido and have always had a good time. This was different - this was bad. I'm going to echo a lot of other traveler's sentiments here: Transportation - perhaps its biggest inconvenience and failing. Like a lot of others, my...

We have just returned to Tokyo after a 2 night stay here. We had a fabulous time! The hotel is on the older side but is clean and very well maintained. Our room was large and had a bathtub which is a huge plus to me! It was dated but not unpleasant and again clean with comfortable beds. The internet...

The access to get to this hotel is not easy because you have to take a shuttle bus after arriving at the train station. Imagine carrying your luggages in the cold evening and have to wait for the shuttle bus which suddenly become crowded of passengers and luggages. We still had to wait and queue on the check in counter,...

Stayed in one of the 4-bedroom cabins as part of a family skiing trip. Easy access to the ski slopes, either walk or take the shuttle, and an easy walk down into Karuizawa town, well worth exploring.. Beautiful to wake up in the cabins among the trees - very warm and comfortable inside despite the cold outside, and we were...

Stayed four nights in 4 bedroom cabin during the week following Chinese New Year... and it was my worst ski trip in over 20 years. Highlights (or rather low-lights): Poor value for money. Food is embarrassingly bad for Japan. "Mountain" is really just a hill. Cabin is barebones. Painful transport to get from train station to cabin if lugging small...
