I traveled to Alishan with wife and 14 months baby gal. It was a trip filled with anxiety with baby. At Alishan, we experienced various degree of hospitality at different accommodations, but none beats the warmth of Tian Yi. To summarize, here are some key points. Location Is conveniently located on a main road but away from the traffic and...

I stayed here for three nights and it was reasonable. The prices where good (note that they don't take credit card even if they advertise that they do) and the location is good (even if booking.com direct you to the wrong place -yes, Ive told them) very close to the main street. Their restaurant advertised is very amateur but there...

the price is very competitive for the location, breakfast is very nice for 10 yuan (toast / egg / jam / tea / coffee / orange juice). However, bathroom smell was horrible, no windows in the room and be careful with the free pickup from the train station : This is only true for the one near the old town....

We arrived off the 0622 train from DaTong and took a slow wander to the hostel - they will come to the station and pick you up, but its only 30 minutes at the best time of the day in the city. Once you get through the scrum of sales pitches at the station (we came into the old Railway...

Pleasant atmosphere, nice and smiling staff, beautiful courtyard. Ideally located in the heart of the old city but not in a noisy area. The room and the bathroom were a little bit small but it wasn't annoying for one night.

We stayed at Tian Yi Hostel for two nights in July 2013. Lovely little place in an old converted building. Not much English spoken but lots of smiles! We had to keep asking them to turn the water on, but we got collected and dropped at the train station for free and the room was quiet and comfortable (if you...

Its a very nice hostel in a traditionell chinese house. It has a small backyard with tables, where you can relax and we even got free green tea. The room has a Kang bed with a thin matress, but it was absolutly ok. Is well located in a side road (an therefore very quiet) and in walking distance to the...

Me and my friends had one night in Tianyi hostel and really enjoyed our stay in this place. The rooms are quite sober with traditional beds. However, they are very clean and so is the bathroom. The hotel itself has a beautiful courtyard and is centrally located, close to the city tower. Good value for money!

It's a jewel in the old city of Pingyao. In a typical traditional chinese house with courtyard, this hostel offer nice, well heated, clean bedrooms with "kang bed" ( stone made). My room wasn't big but very pretty. The cost of a double/single room is about 17 euro. Breakfast (only chinese style) is not included but you can have it...
