Within a chaotic city and totally under construction, White Boutique Hotel & Residences is a redoubt of tranquility and cleanliness in which you feel isolated from the dust and dirt of Sihanoukville.

The hotel has a privileged access to the beach with spectacular views of the sunset and the chill out area of the beach with its activities (outdoor cinema, live music, barbecue ...) is perfect to spend the evening, especially if Chris is attending that is very friendly and professional.

In the morning they serve a spectacular breakfast with local fruits, artisan jams, freshly made smoothies and blunt dishes like their delicious eggs Benedict.

For when you don't feel like being on the beach, there is a beautiful pool made of natural stone and a very complete gym.

The rooms are huge, even the standard ones, very clean and with a comfortable and huge bed.

In the surroundings you can find several local restaurants on the beach where you can eat at very cheap prices, and you can hire excursions to the nearby islands to snorkel or see the bioluminescent plankton.

If you go to Sihanoukville, staying at this hotel will make a difference in positive ... if we had not stayed in it surely our experience would not have been so perfect.

This is by far the best boutique hotel on what remains of Otres beach. Management is top notch and I appreciated that the hotel warned us in advance that the beach was completely dug up by the government a week before we arrived.

The hotel is very clean and well kept. The breakfast buffet is generous and good quality. Food of the hotel restaurant is excellent and by far the best you will get anywhere around that area (many visitors came to it as a destination restaurant).

The hotel offered free sunset yoga and kept their beach front well kept despite all the construction going on. It was a nice gesture that the hotel offered free boat rides to a remote island so you could enjoy the beaches there.

Great happy hour and generous cocktails too as you can see from my photo to enjoy beautiful Cambodian sunsets. It’s a pity their beach got destroyed, but you can still make the most of it if you stay at his hotel.

Some of what the August reviewer (Maddy M) rings partly true, insofar as the hotel scaling back on certain things, such as seemingly only having two cleaners, shorter reception and fitness center times etc.

The above however were mild inconveniences as a guest. Upon arriving, I was greeted by a lovely woman from St Petersburg (General Manager?) who could not have been more helpful. Her Cambodian colleague who also worked reception was very attentive and communicated well throughout our stay.

The restaurant and bar staff were some of the loveliest you could encounter and always very engaging. Others may want a few more options on the breakfast menu, but I loved the bacon and onion omlette, as did my wife. The bread was some of the nicest sliced bread I have tasted in Cambodia and the coffee was generally very good.

I also ate lunch and dinner here. The steak was very nice and well seasoned. It does not however come with mash potato and mushroom sauce, but chips and pepper sauce instead. This did not bother me, but it may be worth pointing this out to customers in future. Crab balls were absolutely excellent and the chicken wings were very meaty and tasty. This is probably the best place I have eaten in Sihanoukville. The smoothies I had were also very good. Finally, the red wine list is a delight. A couple of real gems on there, including by the glass (as someone trying to lose weight).

The room was perfect. My wife loved it in particular. Very clean, spacious. The room and small outdoor garden makes you escape Sihanoukville. The shower is very powerful, which was great and I enjoyed the outdoor bath.

Fitness centre is small, but has everything one needs to get a solid workout in. Pool area is lovely, but somewhat spoilt by the ongoing road construction, however this cannot be helped by the hotel.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and liked the friendly family feel to the hotel. We regretted going to Koh Rong and not staying longer.

Let me begin by first saying that I should have written this review a long time ago. Also, I hope everyone working at the hotel is healthy and well!

My wife, Lauren, and I did a ten day trip in Cambodia this past December, spending five days at the WBH. Even during the planning stages months out, the hotel's customer service and communication was phenomenal. They helped me setup shuttle from airport to hotel, which was quick and easy. The hotel itself...WOW...you literally cannot even compare the beauty and elegance of the hotel to any other nearby!

Hotel staff member, Polina (Customer Relations), is hands down the face and smile of the hotel. She greeted us every morning and helped make sure that we had everything we needed. Upon departure (we had a very early flight), she even organized a box breakfast for us and had it delivered to our room the night before. Polina, you were the BEST! :)

Beach-wise, we were both happy with the location. I wish I could remember all of their names, but the young male servers on the beach were very attentive and friendly!

The food at Duo Restaurant, hands down the best breakfast we had during our trip. I forget the name of the young female staff member who was always in the restaurant greeting people as they walked in...she was so nice and welcoming!

Our final days in Cambodia were some of the best days of our lives, thanks in large part to our stay at WBH. Thank you to ALL of the staff who made it so! :)

“Labor abuses. Two cleaners just to operating the whole house’s. Receptionist is also your waitress.” As my personal experience 3 days and two nights; You can’t expecting anything. No one will held your back as you are their costumer. If you re expecting early comforting breakfast, nah you can’t have it. Ready to be served by 8:30 ish am and limited bread toasted. Scramble egg became fried omelette. Ordered can’t change. Espresso, nah make yourself to the new mall. Or else you’ll regret the money on their watery espresso. Oh yeah, you have to make further booking and you must paid before you check in, and it whole 100% paid. I know, right? That’s hilarious. Bottom line, sounds like 3-4 stars rates hotel but obviously desperately needed money expat guest house. Oh if you had issue, don’t bother to ask to talk to manager. They won’t even look at you.

Dear guest, We feel sad that you left us in this unhappy mood. We do apologize for the inconveniences you've met by our side and thank you for the details. Now we can understand what we should improve. However, we would like to clarify a few moments. You are absolutely right, that we do need more staff. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 added some changes in the hospitality industry and in our business as well. 90% of Sihanoukville and Cambodian hotels had to close and we are glad that we have survived, unlike our competitors. Of course, we can not keep the same service level which we had before, but thank to that you could book us at a discounted price. We will not comment on your words about check-in prepayment, as far as this is a worldwide procedure, which helps to protect the hotels from the frauds and dishonesty of some customers. Our management is always at your disposal upon request, however, none of us was informed that you would like to talk. Feel free to contact me or our general manager Peter directly (phone, e-mail, in-person), and we will find a way to make your next stay more enjoyable. With warmest wishes, Polina, deputy general manager

We stayed at the White Boutique hotel for 4 nights over Xmas. The rooms are clean and spacious with comfy beds. Nice shower with good water pressure, thus the bathroom was very moist and could have better ventilation. Breakfast was very nice with plenty of choices to order, including healthy fruit smoothies. The pool was clean, thus a bit too short for swimming laps. They also had a small fitness gym with limited number of equipment. The private beach was a big bonus, thus there were a bit too many external salespersons around to fully relax. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the White Boutique hotel and a big thanks to this is because of the friendly staff and management!

We walked by the beach and took a Tuktuk by the beach and we must say: there is not much to see. The white boutique is one of the very few that is actually a hotel and not still under construction. The manager is a nice guy and the restaurant not only serves delicious dinners but also breakfast.

Hotel is beautiful, clean and white indeed. Staff is intelligent and very helpful. Our room, deluxe sweet was incredible (jacuzzi, lot of space, large and comfy bed and everything we need). Breakfast was amazing, food quality in this hotel is excellent, but that reflects on a la carte prices as well. Pool is lovely, spent lot of time there.
The only trouble we had during our stay is wifi. Due to ongoing constructions in the area there were some cable cuts that caused loss of connectivity (internet, tv). We used a purchased sim card for internet, hotel internet was back after some time.
Hotel is really steps away from blue waters.
We, me and my husband, stayed there for two weeks during “corona” time (we got stuck in Cambodia due to closed borders). Stay was relaxing and worry-less. Though, we had some troubles in getting around (construction works just killed it) and finding any grocery/shops (many closed due to quarantine), also some garbage on a beach, but i think/hope it is only temporary issues due to current situation. Nevertheless we liked our stay and thankful to this lovely hotel.

Amidst a rapidly changing Sihanoukville, from peaceful seaside town to roaring construction site for China's Belt and Road initiative, White Boutique Hotel has succeeded in retaining within its walls some of the peace that once reigned around the area. It's restaurant gives New England lobster roll joint vibes, while it's pool side reminds us of the begone days of the Khmer's troubled colonial past. Happy hour, is a mouthwatering gem.

I was highly impressed with this Hotel because the hotel manager upon arrival I requested to be upgraded and she kindly was able to meet my needs. I feel like she very caring and was able to be very helpful for my friend and I.

Other than the awesome beach across the street, we had to cancel our trip short and Polina was able to deliver what we asked for. Probably in my travels the best hotel manager i worked with when dealing with an issue. Thank you for a very hospitable time in Cambodia.

Dear Brett, Thanks for your question. If you want to bring some drinks or snacks its not a problem. This notes more for the local guests, who very often brings to the hotel fresh seafood, cooked local food and want to eat/drink at the hotel restaurant or at the beach. We are not allowed it for a few reasons. We invited the western cooks from other countries and they making really an amazing food. You can check review and prices at our restaurant page here- please find Duo Restaurant &Bar at Otres 2. Olga Voichuk, Sales&Marketing Manager White Boutique Hotel
