We stayed 2 nights in early November. Our room was a balcony room (USD28 per night) above the restaurant and was very clean and fresh. The bathroom was good for Asia. I could pick up wifi in the room but performance was better in the lobby. Best feature is the pool, which wasn't too crowded at any time although the...

We originally booked 2 nights at the Orchidee but ended up staying 9 ! We payed $18 a night including breakfast for a double room. The room we were given originally was like a terraced bungalow with small patio area - far better than we expected for the money. However when we decided to stay longer we had to move rooms...

Their rooms are recently upgraded/renovated so it's still look new and most facilities in room are working. Though the water from the shower is disappointing as the flow is very weak due to the use of direct heater. Seeing the stony face of the owner upon check-in is somehow frustrated, didn't feel welcome at all. The receptionist at least has...

I am staying here since Jan 09 and have found that if you smile at the staff the staff smiles back. Lets be honest we are in Asia and our European/American/Australian standards have to be lowered. the food is not lowsy I eat here every day for dinner, no probs, whereas guests eating at the beach have had to go...

After seeing a few places around the area at similar price points, this is a gem in comparison. Our room (#14) was a fair size, bathroom was clean, cute sitting area outside the entrance was more prettier to look at than functional. Buffet breakfast is included and was good. Waitress may not speak english but eventually someone will come along...

I arrived to a non-responsive receptionist to be then taken to a terrible 2nd floor room with smelly pillows, stained sheets and awful bathroom. I have stayed in some wonderful places in Cambodia and met some great people but this was not one of those experiences. The saving grace was the restaurant and its staff who were great. Fortunately I...

In my experience Cambodia has the friendliest, politest people in the region so Jan de Jongh must have looked far and wide for such a surly bunch of receptionist. The dining room staff were great. The receptionists...unbelievable. We arrived to silence. Explained we'd pre-booked two double rooms and were shown sulkily to two large but grubby second floor rooms with...
