We had booked a 2 nights stay via Agoda. When we reached there after a long 6 hr bus journey, we were told that the hotel never received our reservation from Agoda. Lucky that I had taken all the payment receipts to show the manager who was did check us in and said she would contact Agoda the next day....

Malibu bungalows "Paradise retreat" is an average, but fairly unique place to stay. The view is beautiful overlooking Sokha Beach and sea, but the accomodation is nothing more than average and in need of modernisation. It's about a 20 minute walk or $2USD Tuk Tuk ride to the more touristy area of Serendipity Beach. We stayed here for two nights,...

Having stayed here before 5 years ago I came back here again. Nothing has changed ie.it appears that maintenance has largely been neglected in the intervening period and the resort is looking run down in comparison to my previous visit. Also some of the rooms could do with a really good clean especially the bathrooms. Hopefully the new owners (from...

Lovely location on it's own small beach. To swim off it you have to navigate around the big rocks in the sea, but just 30 seconds away is Sokkha beach and you can swim from there. There is a short cut into town and Serendipity Beach or you can walk by road (about 15 mins) or take a $2 Tuk...

Stayed here for 3 nights and liked it a lot, friendly staff, good breakfast and nice private beach or a more busy beach around the corner easy to walk to or a short tuktuk drive. Rooms are clean, simple but nice with everything you need. Would stay again!

Malibu Bungalows are located on Sokkha beach, round the headland from the western end of Serendipity beach. Serendipity beach is frankly a toilet and smells like one almost anywhere you stand, plus most accommodation and restaurants suffer from the noisy bang bang music, girly bars and hassles from beach sellers. What a find Malibu was! Gorgeous little wooden stilted bungalowon...

Dear Alexis, This place is charming, this includes the potholes and the chickens in the driveway leading to the bungalows. Don't change anything, I'm coming back to your charming romantic getaway because it is rustic and down to earth. I love it just the way it is and my friends are coming to stay too because of my stories about...

Stayed here with my partner in late 2013. Pretty romantic getaway. The Bungalows are very located on a hill which perfectly overlooks the beach. At the bottom of the hill the hotel has its own little private part of the beach which is beautiful. The staff are extremely friendly. They helped us with hiring a moto. The bungalows are pretty...

Great staff, basic room but seriously when you are in front of such a beautiful beach you don't stay in the room anyway. Good value for money. Good breakfast, sweet and helpful staff ! Very good hotel if you don't expect something too comfortable.

“We stayed in the beach bungalow. They seemed to shift everyone around a lot.....The higher rooms seem to be disturbed by the noise from the Cloud 9 night club that went all night.”

“There are plenty of rooms around Malibu Hotel, maybe at a price of 25-30$/night, a little bit more expensive, although the whole beach area is noisy, with a lot of dancing clubs. Maybe the hotels on the main street are quieter. I would suggest Otres Beach for vacation and relax, although it is 8km far from the centre (Sihanoukville, which is for youth and fun) and the tuk tuk costs 5$ one way. Anyhow, the bungaloes/hotels/beaches at Otres Beach are much better, but there is nothing else to do there, except for swimming.”
