Just about everything here comes in the shape of a mushroom. The front reception/dining room; the bungalows; and the accompanying outdoor, personal bathrooms. It's quite a unique place, just across the street from the beach. And the staff are friendly. The only disadvantage is there's no place to sit in front of your bungalow, but there's a nice seating area...

I enjoyed this hotel a lot, my boyfriend on the other hand says it was not his favourite place. The bungalows are distinctive, it's like living in a hobbit village. Service was ok friendly, restaurant too expensive so we went next door for breakfast. Fun mushroom-shape bungalows and nice round beds. A great assett is that they have their own...

Really quirky place with everything in mushroom shapes. Even little details, was cool. Stayed in a dorm above the main area but was quiet and easily slept. Dorm is made up of circular mattresses on the floor with big mosquito nets you can easily stand up in hanging over the bed. The whole place was rally clean and comfortable. The...

It's a great place to relax and it's right on the beach pretty much, however it's definitely hard to socialise as a solo backpacker. There's nothing going on at the hostel like music or even anyone drinking at the bar but you can chill out and read a book. The staff are really nice, and the dorms are clean. Would...

Mushroom Point is split in two parts - Roadside (behind the beach) and beachfront We booked three nights on HostelWorld a month in advance. On arrival, we were pleased with the staff from the roadside. Friendly and smiling, he confirmed that our booking was in place, although three of us would be staying on beachfront, one of us on roadside....

The Mushrooms at Mushroom Point are small thatched rondavels dominated inside by a large round bed. There is a shelve that runs around the room made of sticks, you need to be careful not to drop anything through them as it lands outside and means a leopard crawl under the thatch to get it. The mosquito net fits snuggly around...

We stayed four nights in one of the beach huts and thought it was great! Very basic inside but comfy mattress and our sheets were changed daily so the bed didn't get too sandy. If you're not comfortable with bugs/noises in the night, maybe stay over the road! Only downside for us were that the bathrooms didn't feel private enough....

This place is amazing. We stayed in a bungalow right on the beach. The bungalow is very basic but nothing can beat the sound of waves. Food is amazing. I especially loved their Chicken schnitzel baguette. Bathrooms are okay. The tap water was brown so I went to Mushroom Garden to shower. But it was cleaned regularly throughout the day....

I stayed in the dorms for two nights before going on to Koh Rong Sanloem. The dorms were so-so.. the mattress was not comfortable and for some reason the net didn't keep out mosquitos and other insects. The decor and vibe in the hostel and on the beachfront bar/restaurant is unbeatable - I would absolutely return to rent a bungalow...
