Only had an overnight stop at this motel but the owners made us really welcome. We shared a lodge which consisted of lounge/diner/two bedrooms and large bathroom. Everything was clean and in good condition. There is a store nearby for groceries and a few places to eat out. It was a place that we good have easily stayed for longer.

Hello, We're very happy to hear you had a good time at The Kern Lodge! We also appreciate the location tip about the Sierra Gateway Market next door. With the quality of our Lodge as you described, we hope you come back for a longer stay with us in the future! Thank you for your review! Thank you, Caitlin Marketing...

Not sure where to start. The buildings are immaculately maintained, there is a fire pit area for family/group events and outdoor swimming pool, wheather permitting. Did I say that this hotel shows the pride of ownership?. All of the walls, doors and other woodwork are exquisitely lacquered and beautiful. Most rooms have a fridge and some sport a full kitchenette....

Hello, This was a wonderful review with so many details! The only thing we wish to clarify is that all of our rooms come with a mini-fridge (among other amenities), and the bigger rooms have a full-sized refrigerator. There is one major thing our staff truly appreciates that you brought up: Pride of Ownership! We're very much like family and...

51 of us pre booked our rooms and it was a pleasant surprise the rooms were clean and well maintained the down side for me was the fact that there was no hot water in my room and very low water pressure ... After a long hot day riding my motorcycle the shower was needed. My wife and I suffered...

Hello, I'm very sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with the shower in room 106. I have been informed that the Front Desk was never contacted about this issue; therefore, it was not resolved. Had our staff have known about this problem, I assure you that we would have handled it as soon as possible. We hope...

This place was transported straight out of the 1950s. A charming little motel that has been immaculately maintained. Comfortable bed, quiet a/c, a nice little front stoop swing to drink your coffee in the morning. The Brewery restaurant next door has fantastic beer and solid American food. It was my favorite place we stayed in our long tour of California,...

Nice mountain room. Pine walls and comfy beds with a swing on the deck! We rode motorcycles there so as soon as we arrived we jumped in the pool and enjoyed cooling off!! The staff was very nice and helped us find places to eat closeby. It was great!

My buddies and I stayed here for a weekend in July. We stayed in room 110 which accommodated 8-10 people. From the outside, you wouldn't think that this room was big, let alone accommodate 8 people. Boy, we were wrong. This room was like a second home. You walk in to a huge living area with couches, flat-screen tv, and...

My friends and I were looking for a place that can hold all 8 of us. I was skeptical at first, but when I got there it was great. My friends loved it too. Definitely beyond our expectation and worth the money. There is a grocery store across the street, a brewery right next door, and down the street was...

After much research I decided to stop in Kernville en route from Yosemite to Las Vegas. The plan was to arrive late afternoon and then go rafting in the morning before continuing to Las Vegas. However there was no water and so no rafting! Kernville seems to be a little known hunting, shooting, fishing gem. The Kern lodge was comfortable...

We went to Yosemite which was boring. We left early because we were bored and my husband found a place to visit. He picked Kernville because our last name is Kern. We were invited to use the big house which is breathtaking and so peaceful. Kernville is a place that has no fast food restaurants. All or most of the...

Friendly staff and animals. Unique rooms with plenty of amenities. Excellent fire pit and BBQ area as well. Also steps to Kern River Brewing Company. Walk over and grab some tasty food and delicious craft beer!
