wow, great place to unplug and unwind. Beautiful surroundings and Eddie and Dave both do a great job of welcoming you. Pet friendly. Rooms are nice and comfortable. Be prepared to unplug and just chill.

This is certainly not your usual hotel. If you're looking for cookie-cutter, this is not it. Very quaint, quirky, and rustic, but probably the friendliest couple of folks you could ever meet running the place. The evening we arrived, we asked about the closest place for dinner, but we were offered some homemade spaghetti, which was really good, so we...

Eddie and Dave were great hosts and very peronable. The place is a work in progress but charming. Be prepared for no satellite TV or of course Internet (which we already knew about Internet ). There are no phones in the room. There are DVD's in the office that you can borrow no watch in your room or BRING a...

Wow! We LOVE this place. This rustic beauty has 4 rooms, a big cabin that sleeps 8, a rec room, a beautiful gazebo next to the creek, and sitting areas EVERYWHERE. Fall asleep to the sounds of the creek- its SOOOOOO relaxing. Impeccable service and the delicious breakfast are awesome! True-there is no cellphone service (we are in the mountains-duh!)...

I made reservations at this place 4 months in advance of our travels and was pretty excited about staying there. I communicated with the owner about a week before our trip and all seems fine. The night we had reserved, we showed up at 10pm after a really long drive, just to find out that there was "no room" and...

This place was amazing. We stayed in the cougar room for our 20th wedding anniversary. Very, Very friendly staff, warm, comfortable inviting rooms, amazing scenery and awesome breakfast. My favorite part was the fact that the staff took time to make us feel welcome and chat with us, but left my wife and I to our privacy as well. We...

Getting late cruising down Hwy 190 toward Lake Isabella and hadn't reserved a place to stay. Sun setting when we spotted the sign for the rustic Durrwood Lodge. One of the best stays of our Sierra Nevada trip. Dee was fantastic--most welcoming and full of local information. Creekside location was beautiful, with many trails to explore. McNally's Steakhouse 5 miles...
