I have camped at Agua Caliente before, but this was the first time I have been back in 10 years ..... this camp ground has changed since then Below is my review of various aspects of Agua Caliente Campground and the surrounding area: GETTING THERE: Agua Caliente is in... Agua Caliente Hot Springs is one the best county park camp grounds in southern California. Whether you’re in an RV, Tent or renting one of their cabins if you love the desert this is the spot. A great place for families, groups or just the two of you. It can get crowded on the weekends but the RV spaces are... More

This is not fr the type of camping I'm use to, it's crowded and has every facility you can imagine. This is the perfeft place to have no cell reception and get away with young kids, relax, use the pools, have hot showers etc. Everything is beyond reasonably priced and the park staff is great.

Aqua Caliente County Park is a treasure. A short drive down the coast, just over the mountain from Julian you will find a small county park that offers 3 hot spring pools. Two are outdoors and depending on the sun and outside temp can be used for the entire family (of humans that is) and One pool inside for Adults... More

Our family and close friends make a yearly sojourn to camp, hike, bike, visit and relax with one another and enjoy the peaceful desert. We go in December and it is cold, but bundle up and enjoy the warm fellowship. The hot pools are great, fed by hot springs. The first time I went, I didn't see the charm, but over the... More

After 14 years of full-time RV travel, we’ve stayed at literally hundreds of campgrounds. This is one of the very best. It’s out of the way, that’s for sure. But if you’re looking for paradise, come here. You’ll find campsites for tents or RVs. If you don’t have camping equipment, you can stay in one of their cabins. This isn’t... More

NO WI-FI AT ALL in case you need it for work or emergencies...just letting you know right away. I could review a one or a five depending on what you are looking for in a campsite. If you love the desert and doing nothing, then this place is awesome. If you don't like the desert much and you want a... More

I've been coming here since the 1970's. Best during the week, as its completely full on weekends due to the ease of access from San Diego area. Campsites are too close. Few have shade from the direct sun. If you want a desert experience, esp exploring the huge Anza Borrego State Park back roads, this is your place. Swimming pool... More

This is a day use/weekly/monthly RV/tent camping/cabin rental County Park. They offer full/partial hookups, primitive tent camping, and day use as well. We stayed(our first time there) 5-23-14 to 5-26-14, and definitely plan on returning when they re-open at the end of August.(Park is closed 5-27 to 8-29 due to extreme heat) They offer an adult pool, a children's wading...
