I liked this place. Very reasonable $50 for a very large room and large bathroom. The lighting was great, I hate dark hotel rooms. A bit retro, but very clean. The large room and the colorful walls made the room very friendly. Royal blue accent wall, and a lime green accent wall. It worked great in the large room. Friendly...

We stayed here for one night after visiting Joshua Tree national park. We got a good rate on expedia for a standard room with a king bed. The hotel is in a great location in terms of proximity to the park. Helpful, friendly staff, easy check in, parking on site and whilst rooms are basic and aging - they were...

The location is ideal, about 7 blocks from the main, West gate entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. It is also a 3-5 minute walk to "Sam's" Pizza and Curry, which is owned by an Indian family. The food is extremely good. You should anticipate highway noise, although it did not bother us. The refrigerator was a bit larger than...

Very basic motel room, nothing fancy. But, its big, clean and quiet. Only couple of minutes drive to the visitor center and 6 miles drive to park entrance. All the food joints are in the vicinity. They also gave us a coupon book for local eateries (10%-20% off), which was really nice. If you are visiting Joshua tree, I will...

This is not a fancy place, but the beds were comfortable, the room was clean, and it was located close Joshua Tree National Park. We were very satisfied with this reasonable priced motel. The town is small but interesting.

Nothing bad to say, you get what you pay for. Nothing modern here, keys for doors that don't automatically lock. Still, an overall positive experience, especially when not expecting much. Would stay again.

We stayed two nights..we arrived late and the heater had been set on high and it was super hot! (I guess they were worried we would be cold). Nothing fancy but it was quiet and comfortable enough for a value motel. Our coworker paid for our room as we were there for two days of work. The biggest downside is...

Broken A/C permitted neither A/C nor heat nor air of any kind. Tried opening window and curtain fell down. Not worth the 55 bucks we paid for this place. So it was not "very comfortable" and one review says, but I agree that it was "clean." General dingy look to it.

The High Desert Motel is family owned. It is simple, friendly, clean and in a great location in Joshua Tree. I stayed there for 5 nights and have no complaints at all. the friendliness of the owner and staff added greatly to my appreciation of the place.

We stayed here for one night after visiting the Joshua Tree National Park. The motel is very close to the park, 15 minutes driving. Our room was on second floor, very quiet. You don't hear the rumors of the street when you're inside. The room was very large and it had two king beds. It was clean, with microwave and...
