Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Save yourself from a horrible experience and book somewhere else. This hotel charges EXTRA for children. Not just for PETS, charged a fee for CHILDREN. We had to pay $20/kid/night for our 2 and 4 year old. What did that extra fee get us? A dirty, dated hotel room (pictures included), no maid service, no bath stopper for the bath for the children (we were told to shove a washcloth down the drain), used hotel towels from different hotel chains (photo included, I can only imagine how many people have used these towels), on the 4th day we ran out of the single ply toilet paper they provide and from 8:00 am until 9:30 am the "24 hour front desk" was empty, we had to go BUY toilet paper. The front desk was extremely rude and wouldnt give my husband the name of the Manager, she thought it was funny that my husband was upset about the additional charge for children, told him it was 'too bad' he booked through hotels.com and they didn't disclose the extra charge. We have family in the area and will NEVER give this place our business again. Worst hotel experience ever. Absolutely filthy hotel. Similar to a previous trip advisor reveiw I read I hope third party booking sites stop working with this unsanitary hotel.

Do yourself a favor do not go to this place. I try to check-in to the hotel at about 11pm, the door was locked, the lady was sleeping and won't open the door for like 10 minutes. I had given her a credit card for deposit and that card was declined because of safety issue and obviously I am traveling out-of-state. The lady, she was so rude and unprofessional, I can not describe this in words. "Give me a damn credit card that works", she says to me. I told her, is this the way you treat your customer? Her husband comes from inside and tells me shut your mouth. They're bring down the brand name of Country Inn, they're bring down the name of Booking.com. I hope Country Inn cancels their logo with them and Booking.com cancels them from vendor. I will complain to their corporate office as well. Anyways, when I explained the situation to booking.com agent, she promised me that I will get full refund. I got the email confirmation from them that it was cancelled. Then, the next morning I see they have charged me $104.68 for FOUR times!!! I told booking.com that this is fraud, I did sign anything, I did not give them the credit card. They've charged me from the credit card that booking.com had in file! Total fraud!!! I told them, I will give bad review, they said, it doesn't matter, I have hundreds people in India who will erase your review!!!! What a scam he's running from India!!! He gives himself good rating to bring up his rating. I had children and wife in the car and I had to deal with this at almost midnight.

From our arrival to our departure, our three nights were very quiet , comfortable , clean, easy access to towns & recreation, and we were able to cool off in the beautiful quiet and serene pool area as well! Smoking permitted outside only. My husband and I will definitely be back! Only an hour from Yosemite National Park ( be sure to make peak hour reservations however), and this Motel is 5- 15 minutes from two wonderful casinos in the area. The chicken ranch casino is an 18 year old an over, but has no alcohol available. Complimentery soda , coffee, and water is available however. A restaurant is there as well. Smoking is permitted outside. Fast food is about 10 minutes away from the Motel, depending what you're in the mood for, and the area can get into the 100 degrees,so pack a bathing suit! The beautiful outdoor pool also has an ADA compliant chair to aide those who are in wheel chairs to also beat the heat! This wonderful Motel is off of Highway 108. (South 49). Columbia State Historic Park is only 5-7 minutes away as well. Fun for the entire family if you love old times 1800's gold rush history. Two Caves are near by, Mercer Caverns is the closest, but be sure to make reservations for tours.

Clean and roomy ! It was just myself , king size bed on 3rd floor overnight for business and huge flat screen with lots of movie choices . I went here because it was much more reasonable then the Best Western where I usually stay and I didn’t regret it ! I’ll stay again ! Thanks Country Inn !

Room is comfortable. I was double billed for my room and the front desk never called me back to resolve issue. My friend left her glasses and the front desk said they had them and that they would mail them. When she followed up she was told by a different person that the glasses weren't hers and she never received them. Too bad as I liked the location of this hotel and their rates. Probably won't stay there again.

Management unfriendly and inflexible with Covid cancellations. They stayed that they prefer to bring Covid to Tuolumne County rather than allow 1 day ahead cancellation or give any discount. Not likely people who were born and raised here. Beware!

Horrible owner and Front Desk Lady! Horrible Hotel! Not sure how they are still in business. Booked but didn't stay the night. I'd rather they keep my $ than having to stay at this horrendous place. Filthy and they treat their guest like trash. DO NOT STAY OR GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS!!!!

Actually could not stay here. I tried shortening the trip because the hotel did not look very sanitary, the hotel owner Vic was not wearing a mask the entire time I spoke with him. After trying to ask if I can shorten the stay he proceeded to badmouth Booking.com and say he could have if I booked directly with the hotel. He actually even questioned my intelligence because I hadn’t found his hotel online and booked directly instead of using booking.com. He got really aggressive and called me a cheap piece of sh** for booking a non refundable room which was apparently cheaper then he called me an a**hole because I didn’t think he was being reasonable. The whole situation escalated really quickly and at the end of the day I had to leave right away I didn’t feel safe at all for me and my girlfriend to stay there. This guy Vic who claims to be the owner needs some anger management.

Definitely a lot cleaner than the historic and updated hotels in the area. The staff was excellent and worked with me on the price since the website was wrong. I highly recommend staying here. The only down fall is that it’s not in walking distance of either of the nearby towns but still a great place to stay not to far of a drive.
