Office was closed our entire stay this weekend. While office sign said "open", office was locked. There are no phones in rooms. When calling office, a recording transferred me 3 times to answering service. Flimsy lock on front door, and lock on back sliding door did not work.

We loved this adorable red cabin in Idyllwild. It was our first trip to the area and this was the perfect place to stay for us. However, I would definitely pick the cabin over the regular rooms - worth the extra $$. We ate,out one night and used the cute kitchen for dinner by the fire the next night. My...

My husband and I drove out to Idyllwild from LA. It was a long and beautiful drive. We arrived at the inn/bunkhouse late in the evening. Our room key was left for us outside the main office. We stayed in room 19 which is kind of a small cabin off to the right and detached from the other rooms. We...

This was our second time back at the bunkhouse as we will continue to come back. Yes, the walls are thin but except for that, the rooms are cozy, have all the amenities you'd need and have nice balconys. As was mentioned in other reviews, the best views from the balcony are the higher number units. The scones from the...

We did upgrade to a private cabin after reading reviews online about paper thin walls but we ended up having an amazing time here. The warm scones with jam and juice in the morning are delicious. Oak Glen is only an hour away and has great apple picking orchards. We will always remember this place fondly as where we got...

Several times a year to escape the confusion and noise of the city I travel to Idyllwild. This is a charming mountain town less than two hours from San Diego and Los Angeles providing a variety of shops and galleries and restaurants. Almost every weekend there will be an event-a concert, a film festival, a parade. I stay at the...

Not bad for $109 per night. Small air conditioner not able to keep the room cool during afternoon.Took two fans to make the temperature tolerable. Never had issue with hearing neighbors that other reviews have commented on.

Looking for a siren get-away for a couple of days? Strawberry Creek Inn Bunkhouse or their sister property, Strawberry Creek Inn B&B are a great choice. First impressions are always a must and though the landscape is a bit tired at the Bunkhouse, the facilities are looking fine. The nitty pine and peck cedar walls and ceiling are immaculate. A...

We arrived on Friday afternoon with our 3 year old grandson in tow so my husband could go hiking on Mt. San Jacinto the next morning. In light of the comments that stated "walls are paper thin" we prepped our toddler to use a quiet voice so we would not disturb the other guests. He was great...it was the rude...

My wife, dog, and I spent two nights at the bunkhouse. As said in previous reviews, this inn has pluses and minuses. In the end, I think the positive attributes win out. The couple that runs the property is very nice and accommodating. The room itself was small and clean, but could use updating - specifically in the shower. The...
