We enjoyed an excellent stay at Yosemite Rose, near enough to Yosemite. The establishment was very clean and well organised, and a lovely period property; complete with memorabilia. The breakfasts were delicious. and the provision of a nightcap was a nice touch. Strongly recommended; we would love to stay there again.

My husband and I stayed at the inn for 3 nights while visiting Yosemite National park. We enjoyed our stay very much. The drive to the park is indeed longer than I would have liked but we were well aware when we booked here. This place is off the main road so is nice and quiet yet near restaurants and stores and the essentials. We were able to check in early and were greeted well and shown around the lovely home. We were able to get coffee or tea early before breakfast and the little things we asked about were accommodated. Breakfast was amazing each morning. I don’t know which meal was my favorite! We stayed in the Scelestia room and it was wonderful for sunset views. Bed was super comfy and the private bath was spacious. Daniel who served our breakfast two of the mornings was wonderfully friendly and had a wealth of info on the park and helped us better shape our itinerary. Since there is no tv we spent each evening playing pool and board games. Super fun. tHighly recommend staying here for a visit to the park.

My wife and I stayed around the Christmas Holiday and it was a nice experience. The staff was nice during check-in, we showed no I.D nor were we asked which was kind of surprising. Was rushed thru check in and not offered any info about the place or surroundings. Our cabin was nice except for the bed, the mattress buckled in the middle and you fell into the center of the bed. We just slept on the sofa. We stayed 3 days and was not offered breakfast any of the 3 days. I'm not sure if I would stay here again.

We absolutely loved our stay here! We came for a family trip to Yosemite. This is a little bit away from the park entrance, but definitely worth it. The hosts were so friendly and willing to offer suggestions of places to go in and out of the park. The breakfasts prepared by Rebecca were something we looked forward to because they were so delicious and are personalized with garnish from their gardens. We enjoyed breakfast on the screened in veranda which offered the nicety of being outside while sheltered from the heat and bugs. The tables also had flowers from their garden. We were asked immediately upon check in if we had any dietary restrictions and when another couple said that they were vegetarian, TJ offered to an acceptable alternative. The room we stayed in was charming and comfortable. Our room (Cynthia) was in the front of the house and had a stunning sunset view. The bed was comfortable. They also offered dessert and tea or brandy in the evening. The rooms on the first floor contained a lot of history. The manor is surrounded by 200 acres of land, on which there is a horse pasture and beautiful flowers. At night, the sky is lit up with stars. We had a fun, comfortable stay and even got to know the hosts within the three nights we stayed! We will definitely be back!

This was our first B&B and I must say, the bar has been set pretty high. Not only was the house charming and clean, but the hospitality was exceptional and breakfast was scrumptious. The individual bathroom in our room was also a big win because the thought of sharing one with other guests was off-putting. We will definitely stay here again and would recommend this to anyone without hesitation.

A wonderful hideaway for someone who loves Victorian style houses and secluded, calm environment, surrounded by roses and trees. Family spirit, personal, clean and comfortable. Awesome veranda where a authentic, delicious, home made breakfast is served. No TV set in the bedroom which we highly appreciated. Amazing sunset view. Deserts and brandy in the afternoon. We stayed there for two nights travelling around California. We felt relaxed and refreshed.

I visit Yosemite quite frequently and have stayed at the Yosemite Rose many times. The inn is charming, clean, cozy and comfortable. Hospitality and service are always friendly and personal. (I noticed a reviewer mentioned the porch is “fenced with gauze” — they must not be familiar with screened porches.) One of my favorite experiences at the inn is having breakfast on the screened porch, as the porch is surrounded by a garden with lots of lavender (so it smells amazing) and the sound of crickets is really charming. (In the winter time, they serve breakfast inside at the big dining table.) As is the case with all bed and breakfasts, the innkeepers set the menu each morning, but they ask for dietary restrictions at booking and check in — I’m vegetarian and they always accommodate this by serving me the days’ menu item minus meat — and it’s always delicious. All in all, it’s definitely a world away from my busy day-to-day in San Francisco and I LOVE staying there. One time I overheard another guest ask the innkeeper to book dinner reservations at the Country Club nearby, and they said they’d take care of it. (I didn’t know there was a Country Club nearby or that the owners would make reservations on behalf of guests, but I thought it was worth mentioning as it speaks to the level of service provided.) In the afternoons, they have self-serve deserts and tea in the dining room, which is a nice treat after a long day in the park. Daily turn down service, comfortable beds and I always sleep well because it’s dark and quiet. There’s a grassy area just outside of the dining room that’s great for looking at the stars. Keep in mind, distances at Yosemite are relative — things aren’t “close” in the way you might expect. The West Gate of Yosemite is about 15-20 minutes, and the turn off for Hetch Hetchy is even closer. The valley can be 40-ish minutes in the off season, or an hour during the summer. I tell everyone about the Yosemite Rose and my friends and family who have stayed here rave about it.

I took my two boys here on our trip to Yosemite. While the drive into the park is a long drive all the way to the middle of the valley, there is a great waterfalls and swimming hole on the way and it is worth it to be in a quiet spot. The hosts are really nice and the breakfast is to die for. Pure class. Beautiful china, wonderful screen enclosed deck, gourmet food as the owner went to chef school and the ambiance of the place is just warm and inviting. It is quiet if that is what you are looking for. It was for me and even my two boys ages 9 and 11 loved the horses and being on a rural plot of land that takes the city right out of you. Highly recommend and will be back next year if we do a raft trip. The raft trip meet up spot is 2 minutes down the road! I miss the place already.

If you are looking for a place conveniently located for visiting Yosemite, this is not the place. It is at least one hour drive from the park. The house itself is old and dated. We were told upon arrival we had the room with the "jacuzzi". Taking a bath in a dated jacuzzi, did not really appeal to us. It took some gymnastics to be able to shower in this jacuzzi. The rest of the house was quite dark. Breakfast was served in a veranda which was fenced of with gauze. Again not very appealing. Breakfast itself was very specific. No personal choice. Every morning they would come up and tell us what they had prepared that morning : quiche or potatoes or a certain omelet. It certainly wasn't bad but also not very good. Our bed was also never made during our stay. I guess that is not part of their service. Staff was different every time we came to the house. It didn't feel personal and it felt like it was all about the money.

We had a great stay at Yosemite Rose. We stayed in the cabin with two couples. It had everything we needed. Convenient to the park. Overly friendly staff.they even gave me a pillow on the day of our departure for my wife because of the rental car seat was killing her back. I would highly recommend you stay there.
