The word resort is more than pushing it and garden cottage is a big exaggeration. Our 'cottage' felt in need of a good scrub and had a large ant problem. I didn't feel the unit was very secure and the blinds throughout left a lot to be desired with regards to privacy. The restaurant isnt part of the main lot...

Our experience with the cabin was so bad that they moved us to one of the trailers they call Garden Cottages; I will write a seperate review for the Garden Cottage which was acceptable for use. Joe moved us per my request of which I am grateful. Joe personally came by to check us to ensure we were happy in...

Hello Annette, In response to your review I would like to offer the following comments. I did not move you to a Garden Cottage because "your experience was so bad". I moved you in the hope that you would enjoy your stay more since it seemed we could not please you in the Miners Cabin. The refridgerator was frosted up...

Location: What makes this little retreat special is it's location. Even while it's not located in the park, it is only a 20 minute drive to the West entrance of the National Park and it's beautiful attractions. Service: Another big plus is the service. There is a general store which tries to keep all customers happy. If an item is...

We love this place and we would return again. We rented, at the last minute, a little cabin way in the back of the property called the Miners Cabin. It is a one bedroom cabin with futons both in the front room and the bedroom. Lots of fluffy towels and a great deck to eat on or play games. Our...

I made reservations 8 weeks in advance for a family cabin. Joe confirmed the reservation on the phone and in an email. But when i called again a week before the arrival date, he said that it was a mistake and that no family cabins were available for that date. He said that there was a refurbished miners cabin available....

Hello, I would like to respond to several of your comments and clarify them for future guests reading your review. Not knowing who the reservtion was under added to the fact you didn't say anything while you were here I don't know what the situation was regarding a switch from a Family Cabin to a Garden Cottage except to say...

A very clean & pleasant campground. It is very close to the Yosemite Park west gate entrance, which is a huge convienience. There is a general store with most things a person might need to get by. The camp ground is geographically located near several other sites and attractions. The rainbow pools for swimming, james town, and the historic town...

I found the staff to be so friendly and helpful. They helped us solve a problem caused by a turn of the weather, which allowed us to spend our days worry free in Yosemite. The campground was clean with nice amenities. It was quiet and safe. They answered all my emailed questions quickly and provided me with the information I...

Stayed here with a family of 5 from the UK in our RV. What appealed most is that the shuttle bus service into Yosemite Park ( an hour away) stops right here meaning you can leave the RV behind and relax. Perfect spot. Friendly people. Great restaurant right next door at the Bush Meadows, after all the hikes of Yosemite....

Friendly staff, well kept facilities and very clean (new) cabin. Nice rural location, 12 miles from the Yosemite park entrance, but over an hour from Yosemite valley. Did not eat at on-site restaurant based on reviews, instead drove to Groveland (20 minutes) to Pizza Factory...which was great, but that is another review.

Thank Eric D
