This place was such a find - a real hidden gem. We had 5 wonderfully relaxing nights there. The grounds and pool area are absolutely beautiful, and the rooms very spacious, comfortable, and clean. The service was superb, as was the breakfast. Highly recommended.
With it's long drive and imposing archway into the courtyard, this hotel is an oasis of tranquility with fields and small woods surrounding it. Greeted by the hotel cat and given part of my ham sandwich from breakfast, we progressed to the reception area. The elderly gentleman at reception gave us our keys and helped us with our luggage. Our room was spacious, large bed and all the usual requirements for a hotel bedroom. Large bathroom with usual toiletries, perfect for our three night stay. We had a superior room and our friends had a standard one but the only difference seemed to be that they had a shower and we had a bath. Their room was as large and as well equipped. We did not see another guest during our stay there (probably all gone to the beach!). Breakfast consisted of cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, meats, croissant, tea making facilities and a coffee machine. No staff in sight. We did however, have some very good advice from a member of staff regarding vinyards in the area. The swimming pool is a delight with sun loungers round it,looking so inviting but we were on a mission to buy Champagne for our friends and neighbours so had to forego that treat. The hotel is very reasonably priced and with good weather this is really an ideal place to relax and unwind.…
Our room was large, clean and comfortable. Large bathroom. We had some problems with the plumbing, but the manager reacted very quickly and it was all sorted out. Outside, the grounds are lovely. The pool is a bit neglected, but that didn't stop us from swimming a bit. Breakfast was very good, staff helpful and friendly.
We roamed around France for 6 weeks taking pot luck every night, this was not an easy place to find but well worth the effort. Great room (and big) bathroom was spotless and a great breakfast. Well worth a visit if in the area
I spent a week at this hotel, the rooms were large, clean and the beds comfortable. Unfortunately the weather wasn't good enough to enjoy the pool but the hotel setting and grounds are nice. The only downside is that there isn't a restaurant which meant a trip into Sezanne every evening and the in room wifi wouldn't work.
We had a very pleasant stay in this hotel. Beautiful environment and very nice pool area. There is no restaurant, but in the nearest town Cézanne you find different restaurants (we recommend 'Le soleil'). You can visit several smaller Champagne vignards where you can buy very good Champagne. The rooms are very clean and spatious. Downside was that we had a room with a little window, there could be more light, the matrass was rather hard and there was no wifi in the room. But definitely do this when you are in the neighborhood.
1.- excellent service from personnel 2.- no restaurant at night, but we could buy our own food in the super market and have picninc in very nice terrase outside 3.- big rooms and everything very clean 4.- no sports gym. but nice pool 5.- walls are very thing, so we could here perfectly conversation from person in next door room and in the corridors while walking
Beautiful rooms and setting Weather was great so pool was enjoyed. Standard continental breakfast. Would use again as a centre to explore this stunning region. No evening meals when we visited so if you don't want to travel out to eat, best check when you book.
I came in the hotel and everybody was polite. They were really interested about where are we from and then they gave us the key. The room was just excellent. It had everything you wanted and the food there was just really good but the only problem was that the menu for the food wasn't big.
If you want to get away for a day or two from everything then this is the place. The only disturbance was the odd wasp. This is a family run hostelry which used to be an equine centre. It has been completely renovated. It specialises in weddings. The nearest town is Sezanne which has a number of restaurants and a couple of supermarkets.
