From the moment we walked in I knew it was a mistake. The lobby had a leak that was obviously from plumbing because there was 3 floors above it. The rooms were last remodeled during the Nixon Administration I think. The doors on the bathroom cabinets were swollen from water and it being particle board. We had to go to the front desk numerous times because they don’t stock the rooms. No hair dryer, no shampoo , no coffee maker etc. I guess we’re lucky there was toilet paper , although I believe that was from the Home Depot paint dept and had a 36 grit rating. Also someone either died or was murdered in room 215 as there was a Coroner’s seal on the door. Parking was poor. The rear door doesn’t work and you would have to walk around the hotel in the pouring rain to get in. Also there’s no maid service on the weekends. All this for $200 a night in Glendale not even downtown.…
The room was dirty, we had to ask for a broom and rags to clean it by ourselves, the toilet was dirty too (yes exactly what you're thinking), the internet was really slow, when we checked out the assistant manager send us to wait outside the building for our transportation because 'we were no guests anymore' and we couldn't be in the lobby or in any part of the building even when we had heavy baggage, all employees were nice, but the assistant manager was really rude. Really dissaponinting experience.
We chose this hotel for proximity to the person we were visiting and it was perfect as it was literally steps away. We were able to bring our dog which was a bonus. Our room was a good size but smelled like stale cooked food . It could have used an ozone cleaner. The rooms really just need a freshening up. I would also prefer to just have the dishes etc. in the room. Honestly, I think they should just do away with the "free breakfast. It is kind of a sad looking area with a meager selection. Parking was very convenient vs other hotels we have stayed at. When I got home I was sent a survey that I filled out and never expected to hear about again. I tried to be fair but honest. I very quickly got an email from General Manager Peter who indicated he appreciated my feedback and was sorry to hear of the issues. He gave us compensation that I had not even asked for which is customer service that is unheard of these days. When we visit here again we will look forward to things smelling cleaner and perhaps updated since he indicated my comments mattered to them.…
Sorry, but not a good place to stay. Bedsheets are bad. No staff to assist. I paid much for this place but not satisfied. Worse stay ever. No hairdryer, no hangers, smoke alarm is not working. For those, checking this place, please check the reviews. :(
The price and location were fine, but don't expect a full-service hotel. Housekeeping is only once every two weeks. Also, the hotel is badly designed, with staircases only at the end of very long hallways. There are two elevators right by the front desk, but *BOTH* elevators were constantly breaking down . . . often at the same time. Not good for disabled people, or people with luggage that can't be carried up & down long hallways or flights of stairs.
Had to find a spot last minute and this worked out great! Was close to places to eat and the staff was super friendly! Especially Isai, he helped out when I had to stay an extra couple of days unexpectedly and gave me info on the stuff to do around Glendale. Felt like it was a very safe neighborhood.
I visited this Extended Stay Glendale after a long road trip , king suite bed super comfy . Mohammed the general manager made sure room was on point even with covid restrictions , he made sure everything was great. Also front desk provided coffee brew packs , in room dishes and my door dash orders made it SAFELY TO MY DOOR Everytime 👌👌😇😇🤗🤗 clean property laundry room was good too. 💯❤️
Extended Stay America is in a great location, safe, great customer service, and clean quiet rooms. Travelling to Santa Barbara with a dog & needed somewhere close to Burbank airport, Pasadena and Santa Monica. This property is well managed with good front desk staff, and room #302 was quiet & clean, with easy access to exit. Good sized room for 3 people and a dog, with micro and fridge (you need to ask for plates, cutlery etc, very responsive). Plentiful safe parking ($10.00), you may be able to park on the street not sure of restrictions. Front desk was very helpful and courteous. . Beds were comfortable, and bathroom was clean functional with plentiful towels. My wife really liked the "Coffee Commissary" on Kenneth/GlenView (very popular bakery opposite). I took the dog to Brandt park (1mi) and hiked the Brandt Motorway to Tongva Peak (7.0mi) and returned by Mt Thorn. Also very pleasant bicycle ride through Griffith Park (2mi) via Mt Hollywood Dr (no automobiles) to Griffith Park observatory (challenging parking if attempt to drive). My only gripe is I have still not been able to resolve the bill with Extended Stay America. After making the reservation (2weeks before travel date), saw that Expedia, Hotels.com were offering same room at same time for $40.00/night less. Promised price match guarantee on calling ESA, filled in paperwork, and shipped off screenshots of the competitive price. Hearing nothing, attempted to follow up a week later, got the complete runaround. Attempted to resolve with front desk at ESA Glendale, but said had to be handled by Guest Services (800 number). Still no resolution, and sense the "competitive price guarantee" is a marketing scam and no intention of ever fulfilling promise. ESA if you are reading I would appreciate a response.…
