The room was clean and comfortable. We came in very late and the young lady waited up for us. I was able to fall asleep quickly as we were away from the road. It is an older hotel, but not a bad place for a one night stay and just passing through.

This motel is quite neat, with its interior openness. The rooms are very clean and have great windows that block road noise. With parking directly below the motel you feel quite secure. The front desk staff are very helpful with directions and eating locations. motel is also dog friendly.

This motel is easy to find and convenient to old town, restaurants and main roads. Even tho it is old, it is well maintained, clean, freely painted, comfortable and quiet. And a real bargain. The staff are very nice and extremely helpful. The rooms are mainly on the second floor and parking is under the rooms, within the motel. Feels...

Look no further. For the price it has been the cleanest, freshest, most comfortable place I have stayed in on this trip around California. Forget any other budget places, if The Townhouse has vacancies go there.

Let me first say that an average rating in my mind is not bad. This little place was as advertised--very clean and adequate accommodations. It is a bit off-putting when you arrive and see the location and the rather dark rooms (there is as central court). The entire upper "floor" seems to be wooden under its carpet and somehow that...

Thank you Penny109 for your review. You are correct that our entire courtyard is made of wood. In fact, it's made of old growth redwood which is very rare and we are sorry that your feet found it unpleasant to walk on. You certainly have made a comment that nobody else has made so perhaps some Dr. Scholls foot insoles...

We stayed here twice on our August vacation - once on the way up to Oregon, and once on the way back down. It's a great motel - yes, the area is sketchy but we didn't feel unsafe inside the motel. The rooms were very nice and clean, and the customer service was excellent. We had some specific requests and...

The motel suffers from being in Eureka, Ca. The motel itself isn't horrible. For the good: The owner was great once I engaged him (until then he was politely professional, but not overly outgoing). The rooms were clean. The location is between the north and south sections of the Redwoods and the property is right on Hwy 101. For the...

Thank you sunhead for your review. First, we want to apologize for your misconception that our front desk staff was not engaging enough until YOU engaged him. We provide all our guests with exemplary customer service and perhaps there was some miscommunication initially. Furthermore, we are sorry that you did not enjoy the view from the building and did not...

I went to this motel based on reviews and the fact that I could get a two bedroom at a reasonable price. The area was pretty sketchy (I didn't want to walk around outside) but the room was decent. Very old building. The fridge was so noisy that I had to unplug it. All in all, the stay was okay...

This place is surrounded by corrections related facilities, so there were homeless folks hanging around, both in the morning and evening.
