As I have mentioned in other posts, this is my 3rd trip to the Bay Area in the past 10 months and I am not a fan of the area. However, Emeryville is a bit...More
I drove up from LA for a surprise weekend trip to visit family and friends. I planned dinner with a friend, who lives in Emeryville nearby, at one of my favorite little secret hideaways Trader Vics.
I found a great online deal and it included...More
This is a nice property but needs a little TLC. Rooms are comfortable but the bathrooms could use some maintainance. Shampoo and soaps are Motel 6 quality. Prices are high but again this is Northern California and everything goes for a premium. No free breakfast...More

Do not recommend you stay in East Bay Area much of your time will be idled away awaiting to cross the bridge, should be about $6.00 toll. Then parking is nothing short of a nightmare. Spend a couple of extra dollars stay in SanFran and enjoy your time. Go over to Fishermans Wharf area decent hotels and lots of inexpensive transportation options to maximize your time and attractions. If you rent a car for East Bay Area ask for something with a real trunk, keep your items out of sight, rental cars break-ins are at an all time high on that side. Safe travels!
