What a surprise to find this charming, spacious, river-side home located right in the middle of a sprawling motel complex. My husband and I loved our room, the upper floor artists' nook. Windows and balconies on three sides gave us wonderful views of the river and mountains (you'll hardly notice the motel.) The bathroom was pristine and the only sounds...

Last December, when I decided to book a room in Yosemite for my husband's 70th birthday, I found this amazing B&B available in El Portal, the closest proximity to the park entrance. It is a charming surprise nestled among 2 standard looking motels. It is an beautiful oasis among them in El Portal. We were not able to book anything...

This is a small B&B located right next to the Merced River. Each room is decorated individually and has a balcony overlooking the river. It is very picturesque. The proprietors are very helpful and welcoming, and the delicious breakfast served every morning starts your day off right.

We booked our stay here because of the ratings on Trip Advisor, and once again we were not let down! We did happen to luck out with beautiful weather, very high water levels - which means GREAT waterfalls - and some very nice people to enjoy our stay with, but the place itself is a great find. Nestled right in...

Friends recommended the Blue Butterfly and we were not disappointed. It sits directly on the Merced River and is minutes to the entrance of the park. The Inn is surrounded by an ugly motel but once inside, you have no sense of it, what so ever. Our room (The Lotus) is one of three which have private decks, right over...

Finally getting around to posting this. My wife and I take a trip every June for our anniversary and as I prepare for our upcoming trip I was reflecting on our trip from last year. I never got the chance to express our gratitude for our friendly hosts. Since the moment we arrived we were welcomed in and made comfortable....

Had the best stay. Beautiful B&B that is clean and loved. Best sleep we had in the US! Ate dinner on the balcony with Merced river flowing in front of you, birds and other wildlife. Breakfast provided was hand made and guests were great too. Liz and Ron made the most of our two days by providing expert hiking advice....

This is the place to stay, right outside the park entrance (Rte. 140, Arch Rock) when visiting Yosemite. Ron and Liz were extremely accommodating and nice. Their B & B is beautiful, clean and right on the Merced River !! Hummingbirds are abundant on the deck and Liz's breakfast is delicious. Wonderful way to meet other people from all over...

Fortuitously*, my husband booked two rooms at the Yosemite Blue Butterfly Inn (west entrance to Yosemite Valley) off Hwy 140, and we were absolutely delighted by the warmth, beauty, and comfort of this beautiful B&B. Nestled right on the Merced River, the vistas are breathtaking. The owners, Liz and Ron, are amazingly hospitable and having lived in the area for...

We stayed at Blue Butterfly for 3 nights in August 2016. What a wonderful place with the decks overlooking the Merced River. Ron and Liz are the most amazing people and we spent every evening sitting on the deck listening to their tales. The humming birds kept us entertained until sundown . If you are coming to Yosemite you have...
