Really nice set up, gorgeous grounds to explore. The caboose hotel-room was really awesome and spacious. Super restaurant (frog legs!) and the most awesome bartender ever (Sharon!). The hot tub was nice too. Quiet, clean, and very friendly! Cannot wait to return to this hidden gem.

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

One of the most fun Motels I have stayed in. There are several different cabooses there that are all made into very comfortable and clean rooms. There was snow out but we were warm and cozed in our caboose. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Definitely going to stay again.

I had not known anything about this resort, and I checked it out to stay there with my RV. The RV park is pleasant enough, set in the forest by a fast stream. But the motel part of it is really nice, about 25 cabooses, each fully overhauled and decorated, making attractive cabins. The restaurant is a bit attraction, with...

I stayed in one of the cabins. It is a nice place to relax and enjoy the mountains. The room was clean and well maintained. The staff was attentive and courteous. They have a pool and their are also RV sites for those with RV's.

Stopped here with my Mom on our way to Socal, as I have seen this wonderful place, but had never stopped. You actually stay in refurbished train caboose cars. There are about 26 different cabooses to stay in, all beautifully painted with original colors and logos of the rail lines they ran for. There is a dining car available, but...

Fun place to visit. Staff were super friendly and efficient. The room was clean, fresh and comfy. My Husband loved staying in an authentic caboose. He is a bit of a train buff. The dinners were tasty and there was a good selection of entrees. The drinks were GREAT! I just wish the dinner house was open every night. During...

A nifty little getaway near Shasta. Booked this a few months out. We liked the quiet environment and places to walk. The mountains were just outside our window. This is more kitchy than luxury. Families like the pool and novelty as well. We ate dinner at Railroad restaurant, but there is no place for breakfast unless you bring your own...

My husband found this place a couple of years ago and I am so glad we finally decided to come. Our families have lots of history with the railroad, so it was really awesome to be able to stay in a caboose! The setting of the cars was great. Castle Crags State Park is just south of the resort, so...
