My friend and I stayed in the Honeycomb cabin. Very neat, clean and so restful. Lara, from the office, was very helpful whenever we had any questions or needs and we so appreciated her sense of humor.

I'll take the heat for waiting until 2 weeks before the July 4th weekend to book a place for us and getting what I paid for. The Lure Resort's Decoy Inn was one of the few options remaining along Highway 49 in the Sierras that was dog-friendly. It;s a weathered and faded studio apartment just north of Downieville and a...

Simply loved it! Easy to find, gorgeous location with stream running through the property, very nicely furnished, well laid out log cabins with all the comforts of home and then some! Management was very friendly, helpful tending to all our needs of directions- could not ask for more. Highly recommended for a fun, family outing!

We enjoyed ourselves for a week in one of the two bedroom cabins. The grounds were maintained well and the dumpster was changed out twice while we were there. It's located away from any rental cabins and never overflowing. The mangers, Brandy and her husband Stephen bent over backwards to make sure we had a good time. One of them...

My family and I have been coming to the lure for our yearly family "camping" trip for the last 6 years. This last visit unfortunately will be our last. Brandy and her husband are the new managers and have proven to be unfriendly, intrusive and downright rude. We we questioned repeatedly about guests despite having none. Brandy is clearly unhappy...

I stayed at the Lure resort over 4th of July weekend and it was one of the best vacations I've ever taken - beautiful scenery, gorgeous water (highly recommend tubing into Downieville), comfortable cabin (fell asleep every night listening to the rushing river), and just everything you need for a simple, restful vacation. The Lure isn't fancy but that's the...

The location of the Lure is amazing and the rooms (really cabins) are great. The drawback for us was for $300/night we should have at least shampoo and conditioner. Nor should we have to take out the trash and wash the dishes. Downieville is a very cute and charming town and this place is no exception. The cabin was clean...

“Be sure to bring food with you. The restaurants in town and the grocery store close pretty early, so if you want to eat, bring it with you. The full size frig and freezer holds everything.”

“The new cabins are beautiful, well appointed, and some with gardens. Cannot build a fire at new cabins. The older cabins are "very basic" and hot during the summer. Nice if you want to rough it. Can build a fire as pits provided.”
