We arrived at 2:30 but couldnt get our room till 7:30 pm -- it wasnt ready! When we got iit, toilet was broken, some lights didn't work, 4 different gate keys didn't work and never got one that did. Also they gave us a pet room I didn't order (months earlier) The beds were too soft and blankets had holes....

The rooms were not clean and VERY different from what was advertised on the website. I think I was placed in the wrong hotel. It was also very expensive for accommodations that were in terrible shape, old, worn out and in need of renovation. It's too bad because the building is architecturally fascinating.

Thank you for your review. You're right, the architecture does tell a fascinating story. Desert Hot Springs Spa Hotel is home to one of California's oldest spas. It is now among the most historic and storied public spas in the country. For some travelers the experience is authentic California hospitality as it existed during an earlier era. The restaurant is...

Second time visiting with whole family and 2 dogs. The bathroom sink was clogged, and no one was available to fix it because we arrived in the evening, no repair staff available. Fortunately there was a kitchenette sink. They also took our breakfast room service order and then forgot to cook it, but it was fine once we finally got...

Had to change rooms from the odor. Second room was not as bad, but still odor existed. The odor was coming from the old carpet. Dirty, musty smelling, and spotted possibly from pet issues. TV did not work after numerous calls to the front desk reporting issue. No technician showed up to fix. Would not recommend to stay at his...

Relaxed, friendly spa with largest thermal baths in the area. Variety of pools and sizes/temperatures unmatched in the area. Hotel rooms and locker rooms are dated and could use renovation. Overall a very relaxing, low key spa experience.

Desert spa hotel has been here for several decades. It over looks the city on the top of the hill in town while giving you a great place to escape from it all. They offer massage services, day spa treatments and more. Out door pool and Jacuzzi along with natural mineral hot springs. Pricing is reasonable and the staff is...

Great temperatures in all the pools and pretty clean but for sure a little older feel so would not recommend the rooms for the price point. Old is ok but I would say rooms need a bit more deep cleaning. Good food and cool bar but again a little old and warn out by age. Good place to go and...

The staff was very friendly but the heater in our room was broken, hair dryer didn't work and not enough blankets. The spas were nice, just the rooms were kind of run down and didn't have some basics.

The soaking pools are fabulous, we keep coming back, but the housekeeping staff ignores dust, drips and creepy stuff on cupboard fronts, tub and bathroom floor corners and the top edges of the sink surround. The A/C/Heat unit blows dust onto the ceiling and it appears to have accumulated there for years. I can ignore the fact that the property...
