The rooms all exit directly to the outside. Beds are comfortable. Lighting in the rooms is terrible (either extremely bright or extremely dark). Rooms were clean. Staff was helpful. No noise, considering they are located just off the 405. Breakfast was less than average.

if you insist on bypassing the buyer beware post, I would call the front desk and ask them directly, and make sure that you get the name of the person you're speaking with. And when you ask about renovations, you'd want to ask about "any and all reservations on the property". They had a lot going on between the restaurant, the interiors and the common areas.
I wish that was the worst part of the stay, but it was one of the least concerning issues we had.
