The Tranöy fyr is really nice. You can grab something to eat here too - from coffee and cake to lunch. It is simple but nice. The staff is friendly and the walk around the lighthouse as well as the view is really nice because you can see the Lofoten. I would recommend a trip to the lighthouse if you... More

What a view of Lofoten from this location! Old buildings with atmosphere, but also noticable that they're old. You have to walk a bit from the carpark (200 m?) Possible to buy breakfast/lunch/dinner. Worth a visit!

This is a lovely setting, rain or shine. When the sun comes out it's spectacular. The owners are very friendly, and the food very Norwegian, and tasty. Our room had a shared bath with one other room, but even so was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. There are no elevators and some rooms are upstairs, and you should... More

On a sunny day there is hardly a better location in the world! Located on a small rocky outcrop off the coast, reachable by a 250m walkway, this lighthouse with surrounding buildings offers stunning views. Across the vast Vestfjord you see the all the mountains of the Lofoten Islands chain, in the back the snowy mountains of the Northern Norwegian... More

We had a wonderful stay for two nights on this tiny, little islet on the coast of Nordland. Stayed in Vaktmesterboligen - kitchen, bedroom, livingroom and bathroom. Very clean and nice. Had breakfast in the restaurant and two dinners as well; Boknafisk - excellent ( semidried cod) and grilled stockfish ! Inger and Villy who run the place are so... More

A great place with spectacular views, especially when the sun was setting, and a strong breeze was blowing from the sea. The choice of food was limited, but the fresh fish and potatoes were delicious. The rooms were nice and clean and the bathroom was adequate. Some rooms may, however, not have an attached bathroom and best to check when... More

This is a fantastic location. The surroundings and views, as you can see from the pictures, are just amazing. The location is an old light house converted into a B&B. This is on the mainland and you see across to Lofoten. This is not the place for party and night-life :-) The small restaurant serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. This... More

On roundtrip through norther Norway by car we stayed at this remote hotel which is a converted lighthouse keeper cottage. Situated on a tiny island just off shore it is reached by a walkway. The room was small but cosy and comfortable. We had to share the bathroom with guests from room next door. At least bathroom was very clean.... More
