It's an older resort but for the price it's worth it. The beds aren't bad but like i said you can tell it's older. The staff was nice but did nothing about the pool being closed with no heads up about it either. You have cheap gas and sonic at the entrance which is a big help. And make sure to get your free mini bottles of water!

Room was nice, security is tight. Only complaint was there was a light on the side of the bed that would come on 3-4 times during the night and wake us up. When I complained about it to the front desk, they seemed un-phased. I then complained again when we checked out and again un-phased. Because of this we did not sleep great the 2 nights we were there.

Overall, this was a nice place to stay. This was just like Las Vegas with a great casino and a nice restaurant area. The room was very clean as expected, everything worked. Casino games were just like Vegas and it was a lot of fun. There were many choices for food so no complaints there either.

Stayed here with family because my mom said she use to enjoy coming here 15-20 years ago. I wasn't really sure, but relented. Our trip was really to go to Yosemite, so it was actually quite a drive (an hour) from the hotel). The hotel itself have very strict protocols when it comes to COVID. They take your temperature before you come in, as well as have to show your ID before you enter the elevator taking you to your room. The good? 1) The hotel room itself was comfortable with the needed amenities. It was clean, and the AC worked well. 2) Wifi was good 3) Nice views. The bad? 1) the check-in process. It really took forever. Not sure of the check-in person was inexperienced or what, but waiting for 30 minutes was not cool at all. 2) the security at the elevator checking your IDs. The security was very rude to a point that when I said hi or thank you, she didn't even acknowledge. I think she was just in a bad mood. She asked for my ID, and as I was fumbling with my luggages, she appeared impatient. When I showed her my ID, she said, "put it down so I can see it". I'm like whoa, this better be not a hotel staff. The other security guards were good. But I will not forget this particular one. 3) The smoke filled casino. And yes, you can't escape it, but it was so nauseating that I decided not to gamble.and head back to my room - hoping and praying it's not the rude security guard. 4) the restaurant. The Mexican place I wanted to eat at was not only closed, but with my elderly/handicapped mom walking from the hotel to the restaurant, it was a challenge. Not seeing any signs, we wasted our time walking there. It was closed. The Asian Noodle place next to it was good, but the wait was over an hour. The ugly? I would not come back to this place just because of that security guard. Gosh, she was really in a bad mood. That's the ugliest thing ever.

We stayed here while we toured Yosemite. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. I felt safe there with the security, and there are many restaurants and cafes. The grounds were well kept and employees were very helpful and courteous. Gambled a little and felt there was a wide variety of slot machines.

We really enjoyed the amenities at this resort, very nicely done rooms, large and comfortable, they were updated recently. Depending on your floor level and which side you are facing the views were very nice, especially considering it is set high on a hill with the beautiful rolling hills of Coarsegold surrounding it, amazing sunsets on the west side! The pool area was nice! Both indoor and outdoor, hot tubs in both areas. The gym was large with a good selection of machines although both a treadmill and an elliptical machine were out of order. Bottles of water were complimentary so that's a nice touch, remember to recycle ♻️. I can't say enough good things about the staff, they were all amazing! Shout out to the nice manager who helped me with a problem I had the first night, I'm sorry I didn't write your name down to give you proper kudos! Both the front desk clerk who helped me first and then manager who took care of my issue were outstanding! We were completely wiped out from two full days visiting Yosemite and they made us feel like we were coming home. All the staff on the property from sanitizers to security, food service workers, front desk clerks, maids etc, everyone was very friendly and helpful. We loved our stay and if we didn't live so far we would make it a monthly destination! Well done Chuckchansi Gold, well done.

Over a week prior to my reservation date, I utilized the coupon for a 69.00/night special that I received in the mail and booked a graduation gift for myself at Chukchansi for two-night stay. My intentions were to relax by the pool, head to the spa, maybe gamble a bit, and just unwind amidst the striking scenery that Coarsegold has to offer. But all was not so. This gift has turned out to be a graduation gift from hell! From the moment I booked my reservation, I was running into issues. The level of unprofessionalism in the hotel operations is absolutely deplorable! The call center gal who initially made my reservation was clueless as to what amenities the property had to offer (this was my first time visiting the hotel). Sure, I later looked online and found most of the answers to my inquiries, but an employee of the hotel should be well-versed in the offerings of their establishment, ESPECIALLY while working as a reservations agent! When I attempted to prepay my room on my partner’s debit card (I had reported fraud on my own), I was sent through hoops to do so since they would not be joining me on my trip, and while I did not mind following the establishment’s procedures regarding this, the call-center ‘supervisor’ Gloria was equally as unfriendly as the rest of her staff when walking me through the process of the credit card authorization form, and seemed upset over the fact that I had later called to confirm that everything had been received and processed accordingly prior to me making my way up to the hotel. I should have known from the first barrage of snotty attitudes that the stay itself would probably spiral downward, too. Upon my arrival, Mia at the front desk was very icy toward me before I could even say hello. She was silent the entire time that she checked me in and left to get a supervisor without excusing herself or letting me know where she was going. The supervisor did not even greet me when he walked her through whatever it was that she was doing, and again, did not excuse himself when they were finished. When I asked Mia what the COVID-19 restrictions were on the premises, she stared at me as though I had just asked her for the answer to a very difficult math problem. She offered me no information regarding the hours of the facilities (pool, gym, spa) as a front desk agent should, and did not tell me that I would need to be showing my ID and room key at every checkpoint for hotel guests, which made for a very awkward interaction with the security guards at the elevator bay (they ask you for both each and every time). Although, I was very relieved to see that level of security in these crazy times. When I finally entered my room, let us just say that I was almost instantly disappointed. There were chips on all the doors (see photos), and the space had been spruced up to be a modern version of a motel room. I mean, I understand that I used a coupon, but I still paid for the room, taxes, the measly $9 nightly “resort fee”, and the incidentals. To make matters worse, the very next morning when I woke up to shower, I discovered women’s length hair all over the walls of the shower (see photos). I was disgusted and resorted to showering in the sink! When I called to complain, Joe at the front desk answered and did not greet me; when I let him know what I had discovered in the shower, his response was “What would you like me to do about it?” which was the straw that broke the camel’s back for me, and all of my niceness was out the door and was not coming back at that point. I would refuse to let employees of a business that I am paying money for steamroll me that way. When I later called to speak to the front desk manager, the operator transferred me to the front desk and the girl who answered said “Hey can I put you on hold?” which stunned me. “Hey” is NOT the way to greet a customer; I’m not some random friend? I did not correct her, but the attitude she gave me I gave right back, and I believe she realized that I was already at a 10 and seemed to back off from there. When I finally spoke to the front desk manager, I- in the smoothest way possible- gave her the entire saga from start to finish of my entire experience from the moment I made my reservation. She offered to have someone clean the shower, but that I would be needing to leave the room (mind you, I hadn’t even had a FULL shower at that point) instead of offering to move me rooms! I was waiting for her to offer an upgrade for the entire awful experience I had had at this point, but the best she did was compensate me for my final night’s stay. That was it. No future stay, no dining credit (which they do not lose money on), no upgrade… nothing. I need to mention the positives of this hotel, as I do not only want to focus on the bad: Paulette at the bar in the casino is fabulous and a charmer; the comical elderly gentlemen behind the counter at the hotel gift shop was a peach and made me laugh both times I visited; and Brandon in room service has the level of professionalism that every hotel employee SHOULD have! Overall, this entire experience has been a nightmare! It isn’t enough to say that I will no longer be staying here, and I know that the hotel would prefer that I not given all of the complaints I had to work through, but in the end, I could have been awful, mean, and nasty to the employees and demanded for a myriad of compensations; but I still somehow I managed to be nice- too nice, even- throughout this entire chaotic fever dream of a stay! Do NOT stay here. Do NOT waste your time and money. The people in the hotel, the rooms, the pool, and the ‘amenities’ are not worth the hassle and headache you will surely experience throughout your stay.

We stopped on our way through for a few drinks at the bar then dinner. Got a seat at the bar and noticed a 2 drink limit per hour, per person. Thought it was odd. Wife and I had a beer and played the slots at the bar. Asked a bartender about the sign because I wanted to have more than 2. He said "it's the bartenders discretion, we enforce it if they are severely intoxicated or IF THEY DON'T TIP! Wow! Fast forward, wanted a 2nd beer and had like a sip left in the cup. Got the attention of bartender and he was annoyed I was bothering him because it wasn’t his “area” and he was rude, said he wasn't my bartender and besides my cup wasn't empty he couldn’t serve me until it was all gone! I swigged it and he said you want another! Nope, I want my darn check, we are outta here! Again, was going to drop over $100 at the steakhouse but we left! Will NEVER go back!
