This location is great! With the Otay Mall next door you’re in the perfect location. The hotel is spotless and is very well managed. I’ve stayed here many nights and it always feels like home. I appreciate they offer breakfast to their guests and that all employees are friendly and thoughtful. I recommend this hotel to anyone who asks hands down!

I would like to applaud a stellar performance, above and beyond the standard "call of duty" for a desk receptionist and (assumed) maintenance personnel. On the early morning (3:28am) Monday the 22nd, my grandmother gave me a distressed called from the floor of her room. She informed me that the floor was too slick and she had slid down to the floor and was unable to get up. I (living 25 minutes away) was not sure how to handle the situation but after a brief call to the night receptionist, Josephine (I believe her name was) she assured me that she would do whatever was needed to help a guest during the stay. She informed me shortly afterward that my grandmother had locked the dead bolt in the door and that she had already talked to the maintenance team to have the door opened. I then called my grandmother back and asked if she could open the lock on the sliding door and she stated that she could, and did. I called Josephine back and informed her of the alternative entry point and she was able to (with the help of one of the men from the maintenance team) enter and help my grandmother from the floor and back to a sitting position. I am beyond impressed by the professionalism, and can-do attitude of your night staff to make miracles happen. The effectiveness of your staff and their care for the guests at the Ayres of Chula Vista is a direct reflection of the quality of hiring and training departments and I would like to applaud everyone involved, directly and indirectly. My gratitude is hard pressed to express in text but I am forever grateful for the staff involved in this near-incident…

Super solid hotel. Everything is new and super clean. the beds are very comfortable. Its right in the middle of a mall district so shopping and restaurants and all sorts of food options are at your fingertips. The breakfast was quite tasty. They serve it to you in a take-away box. Lots of options to choose from - cereal, fruit, oatmeal, and hot entrees like eggs.

Enjoyed our stay here, the room was big, bathroom beautiful, and well sanitized. We stayed in a courtyard view room, which was just a few steps away from the parking lot and swimming pool. Breakfast was awesome and delicious, with tasty hot items. Best breakfast compared to any other hotels my family and I have stayed. Elizabeth, one of the breakfast staff is excellent, very attentive, and fast. The location of this hotel was perfect and convenient to shopping malls, food, and banks. There was everything you needed at a close distance. I would have rated this hotel 5 stars but took one star off due an incident with my stay. Housekeeping is not well trained on what to clean and what not to clean. The housekeeper during our stay had thrown a bag of items that was not even near the trash bins and did not clean our room the first night of our stay. This was unacceptable! If you stay here, please be aware of your items left in the room during the daily cleaning and make sure your room actually gets cleaned as needed. …
