This is a very basic lodging. It is clean, comfortable, and very acceptable. The owners are very accommodating and make your stay very pleasant. If you need a place to sleep and shower at a very reasonable rate this is the place for you. Close to Chester, Mt. Lassen, and Lake Almanor.

I agree with what everyone else wrote. It looks like a typical motor court you might see on the road and maybe drive right by but I am gad I listened to what other tripadvisor reviewers wrote. The owners were very helpful with suggestions on restaurants and places to hike. The lawn is well maintained with BBQ's and tables and chairs....

After reviewing quite a few places in Chester off the internet, I chose this place. The price was great and the pictures I saw of the place were appealing. When I called to book our room, I had a good conversation with one of the owners/managers. Very friendly people. When we got there, we liked what we saw and again,...

Choose this motel based on other Trip Advisor members reviews. The price was very reasonable in comparison to others in the area. We stopped over in Chester for one night just passing through the area. We were very satisfied with the room. Very nice touches to the room and it was very clean. The owners appear to take a lot...

This place was such a surprise! When we arrived, our room wasn't ready yet, so we had to look around town and come back. We were early. But from the outside we were expecting something rather....not-so-nice. It is an old motel but the fresh pots of flowers told us it was well taken care of. The owner called us when...

I loved this place! Everything about it was perfect: the room, the lovely couple who run it, the surrounding natural environment and the super friendly town of Chester. I really hope to visit Lassen again one day and, if I do, I will be returning to Cedar Lodge. On a road trip which lasted 5 weeks, this was our favorite...

Although a little spartan, Cedar Lodge had everything we needed for a one night stay near Mt. Lassen. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful and came immediately when we needed some guidance on the satellite tv. The room was very clean, comfortable king bed and great tv. Furniture is a little outdated but more than adequate. Park...

This is an older facility so you need to expect neighbor noise and tighter spaces, but the price was right on. The couple who run the place are very friendly and accommodating. They recommended a good place to eat and a good book store. Is obvious they work hard to upgrade and maintain this older building. The room was clean....
