We thought we would eat at the hotel on our first night and chose this restaurant. The choice on the menu was a little narrow and I chose the seafood catch of the day which was sea bass for my main course. My starter of a tomato salad was good but my wife's soup was nothing like a bisque which...

I booked for three nights. I had a flight canceled and TELEPHONED to the Carmel Valley Lodge to say I was NOT a 'no show' and please to not rebook my room. No one answers the phone. Only an answering machine. I arrived just at midnight. The parking lot was not lighted at all. Just black. By the the light...

This review is more for the accommodations. This place could be really nice if they tried to clean up the rooms and grounds. Where do I even start. The first room we checked into was one of the "cottages". Walking in you could tell this place needed a really good cleaning. The couch looked like is was covered in dust...

Charged months ahead of time, but let the ball drop with the Soberanes fires. The air quality was hazardous, parks closed, helicopters constant. But they wouldn't even let you off the hook for 1 nite.

This place has some great potential and it looks like the owners know it because there was quite a bit of construction and improvements being made while we were there. The rooms were spacious and nice. The bed was comfy and the Lodge is located very close to all the local restaurants. There wasn't AC and it got pretty warm...

Arrived on a family trip after a long journey, it was just what we needed. Bedrooms were comfortable, clean and modern enough, but could do with some updating. Pool and sauna access as expected, not exceptional, but more than adequate. The hotel itself is in a really nice part of state with plenty to do nearby. Plenty of nice walks....

Some electrical appliances and outlets don't work....no staff on-site after hours...night manager does not respond...we usually take things like electricity for granted, but at this hotel one should not

My title pretty much says it all - this place is inexpensive and conveniently located to local wineries and several restaurants, but is a little worn-looking. I'd heard that some of the rooms had been redone but don't believe mine was one of them. Still, it was clean and comfortable enough and suited me for one night. I could see...

Currently hold for 24 minutes. What complete jerks. My wife called earlier - no call back. Trying to book a room several months in advance for a wedding weekend. We are assuming that this is an indication of the service they will provide if we stay there. So we won't. Up to 25:43 on hold. Amazing.

We had stayed here several times a number of years ago and were looking forward to a relaxing 2-night stay at the lodge, now under new ownership. Info on the website sounded as appealing as ever. Not so! The stay turned into major frustration. But, first the plus side, short as it is: the room, though small, was clean and...
