Parking is obviously a big problem, we were lucky to get a street spot close by. Comfortable sitting area for drinks and breakfast. The courtyard looked attractive though too cold to sit in while we were there. We will return to enjoy this in the summer. The bed was very comfortable and location good. Cherry

We spent two nights at the Hideaway and found the room lovely and the bed comfy. At times a little noisy due to light insulation between rooms but don't let this put you off. A good breakfast and afternoon wine and cheese are welcome and delicious. Easy walking distance to many restaurants and shopping. Check in early to snag a...

Although Carmel is a charming town and very pretty, And this property is very centrally located and was I guess recently all redone, it is not anything close to what a $300 room should offer---just be forewarned so expectations are not misplaced. We had some problems. Every single person on site is gone by ten pm and if you call...

You can hear everything: conversation next door, kitchen prep, vacuuming upstairs, housekeeping staff talking outside. No parking -- only street. The property was attractive and had obviously had a recent update, but that can't make up for lousy construction.

The Hideaway was a wonderful home base for exploring Carmel and everything nearby. We walked around town, shopped a bit, ate at a couple great restaurants, visited Point Lobos, and spent some time lounging in the room. Amenities were excellent, staff was friendly, and the breakfast and wine and cheese were perfect additions. It was perfect for a quick weekend...

This stay back in October was a pleasant surprise. We were there for 6 nights for the Carmel Int'l. Film Festival. It was convenient and close to everything yet very peaceful and quiet. The rooms were very cozy yet sophisticated and contemporary, The breakfasts in the morning were yummy and the late aft. wine and hor'd'ouvres were also quite nice. Clean,...

This property has so many wonderful things to discuss. But there are 2 major downsides which would cause me to hesitate before booking again. Let's start with all the good stuff. The property has been recently redone and the decor is sleek and hip while remaining cozy and comfortable. Everything is very clean and the whole package has a lush...

Great hotel! Beds, pillows and linens were amazing. Very quiet. No elevator and street parking were the only drawbacks. However, the room and facility more than made up for it. Great euro breakfast. Pull-out bed for the kids was really comfortable! Great location in center of Carmel but off the main drag.

Hi Sarah I'm glad that you guys had a such a great time. It is nice to read that your kids found their "bed" comfortable. It really is the best sofa bed I've ever tried. I hope that you be bringing back your family soon. Thank you

We had a wonderful experience at the Hideaway! We have stayed at a few other B&B's in Carmel and the hideaway is the best. Extremely clean, great breakfast/wine & cheese. Staff was very friendly and accommodating to a few requests we had. I would recommend the 2nd floor, if available. We will definitely be staying here again.

We stayed at the Hideaway this past weekend and had a very average experience. Which for the cost and other options available in town you would think the experience would be better. We arrived and found out that there was no actual parking for the hotel which is something that is difficult in Carmel in general, but we had to...
