We enjoyed three wonderful nights at the Carmel Country Inn. From the delicious, fresh-baked cookies awaiting us upon our arrival to the thoughtful snacks for the road at our departure, the attentive staff at the Inn anticipated our every need. After a day of exploring the village or combing the beaches, we particularly appreciated the lush greenery of our balcony...

Staying here was the quintessential Carmel experience. The inn is tucked away on the edge of downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea, so we could walk to all the shops, restaurants, and art galleries. We parked our car and left it there for the weekend, which was great! We stayed in room #6, which is a 2-bedroom suite, with 2 bathrooms (one with a...

From the moment I arrived at the Carmel Country Inn, I knew it would be a wonderful get away. The check-in experience was seamless and the staff so friendly. I was offered snacks, cookies, and tea/coffee and those were perfect to enjoy out on my suite's private balcony. The location of the Inn was excellent and a very short walk...

As soon as we arrived at the Carmel Country Inn, we were greeted with a smile, snacks, and a room that was ready early! We found the perfect room for us - a 2 bedroom/2 bath suite with a perfectly appointed living room with fireplace. We were traveling with another couple and this allowed us to socialize together in the...

My husband, myself and our little dog just had the most wonderful couple of nights at the Carmel Country Inn. This was our second stay here and has become our favorite spot to stay in Carmel! Our visit began by Maria, the lovely Innkeeper, writing our pups name on their welcome board. That gives you an idea of just how...

Had an awesome time staying at the Carmel County Inn. A terrific staff (special kudos to Maria), great snacks, beautiful room with a gas powered fireplace. Great location. Wish we had brought our dog, the Inn is very dog friendly.

We had a great three day stay in early February. The inn is very cozy and inviting. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our dog, an 80 pound Doberman, was extremely happy that she was included and not stuck in a kennel somewhere. The staff made her feel very welcome. The room was very comfortable; a nice sitting room...

Nice and cosy small size inn a 3 minutes walk form the shops and restaurants. The room was spacious enough, with direct view to the ocean: we enjoyed champagne at sunset, with the magic colors of ocean and high coulds, circling buzzards... A gas-fired chimney provides heat and a comfy atmosphere before shutting lights off. The team was welcoming and helpful,...

Visiting Carmel, CA is expensive. Still, it is a delightful way to celebrate a special occasion. After reading as much as we could, we chose to stay at the Carmel Country Inn. Glad we did. The location is off the main street, and quick walking distance to all that Carmel has to offer. The Inn is pet friendly - and...

There is a lot to recommend the Carmel Country Inn, but there are also a few shortcomings for a $300 a night room. On the plus side, the staff is warm, friendly and incredibly helpful. The location is the perfect walking distance to town and the area is quiet and peaceful. The bathroom is quite large, but there is only...
