My wife and I stayed for one night during mid April/2015 while traveling thru Pacific Coast from San Francisco to LA. Carmel lodge it is a simple accomodation and our choice due cost/benfit compared to other options in Carmel. Breakfast was very simple with a coffee, glass of juice and a croissant. Room was small with heating only, but comfortable...

Thanks, Meffe, for taking time to write a review for us. Carmel Lodge is a perfect stop-over on one of my favorite roadtrips...San Fran to LA. We provide great value in a beautiful town that begs to be explored on foot. We hope to see you again soon! Take care, Stephanie

The Carmel Lodge was comfortable, well appointed and convenient to shopping, restaurants and not too far from the beach. Everyone in our party was happy with their accommodations and the desk staff was helpful with recommendations for restaurants.

Hi, Maureen L! Thanks for stopping by Carmel Lodge. One of our favorite things to do is recommend Carmel's award-winning restaurants to our guests (we just feel very hungry all the time!). But you can't go wrong in Carmel -- if you see a great patio, just sit down and you won't be disappointed. Come back again soon, Stephanie

Stayed for one night. Comfy bed, and well impressed they bring the breakfast tray to your room! It's was only a croissant with two strawberries and drinks, but nevertheless ideal for me as I'm not a morning person! Ideal stopover for us as we travelled the coast. Perfect location for the centre and the beach. Only negative was the bathroom....

This hotel is in great location with ample parking and is pet friendly. The staff was terrific. Our room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable, and the price is right. I was all ready to make this my "go to" hotel in Carmel, but...I must say that I could hear everything from the couple upstairs...and I mean everything....

Dear Terririzor, Thanks so much for taking time to write this review and you have hit on all our high points - thanks for mentioning our wonderful staff and our housekeeping. But the 1 low point...ughh. I know! I always travel with earplugs, and sometimes I even leave the TV on really low, or the heater to provide some white...

We love the Carmel Lodge. It's quiet and clean. It gives you the Carmel feel at a great value. Each room has its own character. We always book a room with a fireplace. The lodge is a short walk to Ocean Ave. and shopping. Great staff with a free breakfast!

Hi, JoeyB! I so appreciate your kind words! I love that you noticed that each room has its own character. Although that does make it hard sometimes to describe all the rooms to someone who hasn't been here! But so many of our guests are repeat customers and, like you, they've found their favorite room and ask for it in...

Everyone at the Carmel Lodge from the front desk to housekeeping were very friendly, helpful, and cordial. We plan to stay there again and recommend it to friends. Property is a bit outdated, but the cleanliness, friendliness and continental breakfast delivered to our door more than made up for that.

Hi, DPS1981! Thanks so much for taking time to write a review and praising our front desk and housekeeping staffs -- I'm very proud of them! Thanks also for recommending us to your friends, but a better plan is to just bring them with you the next time you come! Take care, Stephanie

Great locale- friendly staff who actually care about you, rooms are basic but you should be outside when you are in Carmel! Value is good too- if they are sold out online call them- you still might be able to make your stay work. I'll be back!

Hi, PSSGolfer! You are so smart! I love your recommendation to call us, because we often do have last-minute cancellations due to our generous 72-hour cancellation policy. And yes, everyone should be OUTSIDE in Carmel -- especially with all the amazing weather we've been having lately. But what I love the most is that you praised our amazing staff --...

Its a great hotel that my wife and I love. Our stays are always pleasant. The staff is helpful and the location of the hotel is perfect distance away from the foot traffic of a busy weekend crowd. Great place. Worth a try.

Rooms were a little dated, and there is no fridge? But the position is great, it's near the central areas of Carmel, parking is easy and we would stay there again. It also has a pool but it was as empty whilst we we're there, so I guess it would be full in summer?

Hello, Mozzie2008! Thanks for your nice review and I just wanted to let you know, to manage expectations, that the pool area is closed permanently. Our plan is to turn it into an area with a firepit where guests can congregate. We really get much more use out of a firepit than a pool in Carmel. And thanks for pointing...

Asked for a ground floor room, knee problems, and my wife and I were placed on the second floor. Room was clean, but needed upgrading. Check in was pleasant, and efficient. Continental breakfast was on time, but nothing to write home about. Price was good, for Carmel, and it's location is its best asset.
