This charming Inn ticked many boxes: Quiet. Convenient. Cosy. Comfortable. Carmel has a cute arty village feel and Vagabond's fits perfectly with its antique touches. Faults are hard to find. The shower head could have done with a refresh, if I were being picky. But the biggest fault was our own: not booking a room with a bath! Now that...

We stayed here as part of our family trip to California. We had two rooms, 2 and 5a. Both were very good, 2 was bigger and had a fire. The inn made a real change for us on the trip being a small place but it was great. They were also extremely helpful when my daughter left her laptop behind...

A charming and comfortable find in Carmel. The room was bright and clean and the linens lovely. The Inn staff were welcoming and greeted us at check in with a glass of wine and plate of cheese. Dining suggestions were abundant and tailored to our specific dietary needs. Located a few blocks from Ocean Avenue, the walk to town is...

My husband and I spent our second wedding anniversary at the Vagabond's Inn and were thoroughly spoiled! The practical stuff - the Inn is centrally located with easy parking, check in/out is straightforward, the accommodation is clean and well appointed. The stuff that makes a difference - as the staff knew it was our anniversary they brought us a bottle...

This boutique motel reflects the laid back charm of Carmel long ago. Located in a quiet neighborhood a short walk from downtown, The Vagabond's House offers a warm welcome, incredibly soft beds, late afternoon wine and cheese in the intimate lobby and breakfast in your room. Spa services are now offered. Immaculately clean.

Once we arrived for check-in, we were greeted with a warm and inviting welcome by the proprietors. The room was so quaint with a private gate and courtyard leading up to it. Once we got settled in, we headed back to the office for dinner recommendations. They were very thorough in explaining our options for dinner/drinks. Would definitely stay again...

This is a small friendly hotel with a sunny courtyard for that wine and cheese they provide early evening. An easy way to mingle with other guests if you wish. The rooms are large and comfortable and clean. A good (free) breakfast choice is provided with civilized time options to receive it. It is in close proximity to the town...

This place is a welcome break from the everyday standard hotel room. It's a quiet peaceful house and our room 11 was great with a soaking tub, gas fireplace and they had a nice bottle champagne waiting for our anniversary. It's walking distance to shops and beach and was a great stay overall. The breakfast was also very nice and...

A very pleasant stay for my husband and I. We accidentally booked a room on the street side. It was beautiful, but noisy. In the future we'll stay in a different room. Good breakfasts, nice location, easy walk to everything. Overall a wonderful time away for the two of us.
