I am backpacking through Asia with my girlfriend and we came across this place on AirBnB. DoH is a fantastic place to really just be with nature. Its a very warm and friendly place to be where they really treat you like family. It is a bit far away from Ao Nang so its not for party people (in the...

Not sure what this place charges during high season, but what a steal. We were one of two occupants there and as a result had the place pretty much to ourselves. The bungalows are air conditioned, have mosquito nets, and are probably 30 steps from the beach and water. There are plentiful hammocks upon which to lounge about and floating...

The location is amazing. A private beach with cliffs all around. Tide goes out and you have nice mud flats to discover. Gekos and birds all around.. We booked the jungle house (two big bedrooms and a shared bathroom in between the rooms with air con). But the condition of the place are really bad. Forget about breakfast - we...

The places' cheap, and very quiet. Bungalow a bit old, but lights and hot water are work very well. The location was better than we expected, beachfront. There are some others bungalow which's not beachfront. But still very easy to walk down to the beach. The owner was very nice, and friendly. Her name's Olsa (I might spelled wrong) her...

The beach huts are quaint albeit run-down. You get what you pay for, so don't expect luxury or decent pressure from the showers. The air conditioning units leave a lot to be desired but are better than nothing if you want to sleep. The mosquito nets may stop the insects but they need a good wash and smell of dust!...

Terrible location away from the main krabi town and ao nang, had to get a cab to fetch us to the town whenever we wanted to go out. Taps and shower had no water at least 4 times in 2 days and were not fixed even when the hotel staff said they were going to be fixed. Entire place was...

Surroundings were pleasant - the beach was quiet and relaxing, there were swings and benches/ huts along the beach for us to chill. However the room was not ideal. Sheets were dirty, floor had termites, water was not running on our last day (we couldn't bathe or wash at all). Not comfortable. Food there was poor. Breakfast consisted of some...

We visited it in March and it was lovely! Weather is perfect for this time and water is warm! Although tide is not up all day but it is enough time to have a swim. Hotel was okay, quiet beach, not a lot of tourists so I think is perfect for relaxing! People are friendly and helpful. You can get a...

I can only comment on the restaurant, where our happiness was disturbed as soon as the owner arrived. So far it was a chilling place, we enjoyed the view and the calm sounds of the waves, drank 2 fruit shakes and just received our food. The staff was friendly. But soon the owner arrived, and ordered her staff to turn...

We had a lunch there, poor people, who are living there. From the first view a little cozy hidden beach is in result our worst experience in Krabi. Dirty sea water and totally unpolite european manager. We've just started to eat our lunch as she turned on very loud music, so loud we couldn't even speak. As we asked her...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Fan Room : 500,- Baht/night (May to September) 800,-Baht/night (October to April) Air con Room : 800,- Baht /night (May to September) 1000,- Baht/night (October-November/February-April) 1200,-/night (December-January) A place to rest, not touristy, as you would imagine to be a peaceful holiday on a private beach. There are only a few places in Thailand like this. Highly recommended, for people who want to enjoy the tranquility. The bungalows are simple but cozy. They are directly on the beach ( Ao Nam Mao beach). In your room you will find : A real bed, a fan, a table and a chair to write a postcard, a wardrobe, a toilet with warm water and a small terrace where you can hang your hammock and enjoy the sea breeze. There is a restaurant, beach terrace and a community pavilion. We have own WIFI and it is very good signal. Ao Nam Mao is a quiet area of Krabi with many attractions. In the neighborhood are a shell cemetery (known as a fossil beach) or a traditional fishing village "Ban Lampoo" where you get to know the lifestyle of locals. A riding with trained horses is our neighbor. You can ride along the beach or go swimming with the horses. For children is also something there .. A "fun park" (Adventure Park) where the kids or even adults climb into the trees or behave a time like Tarzan. From us you can walk to Ao Nammao where they can go by boat to Railey beach or Tonsai beach. The public bus from Krabi town or from Ao Nang beach stop directly in front of the resort. From the airport you can get a taxi to join us, just tell them "Dawn of Happiness" Resort, Ao Nam Mao beach (close to Fossil beach) and the taxi will bring you here (about 600 bht). We offer a pick up service as well. ... more   less
