We spoiled ourselves with a room each on the top floor of the main house that looked out over a beautiful lawn to the ocean and through the firs to a cove. We could hear the waves on the shore, and slept to the sound of rain on the eves. In the morning a blue sky and continental breakfast greeted... More

The Inn was OK. The rooms were styled as mature and antique. It was pleasant. The bed I had was too squishy. They put a pillow top on the mattress to bury the age of it. <y neck and back hurt in the morning. Aside from that, it was a good value for the area.

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL location and grounds. The Inn is everything it claims to be. The view from our room was gorgeous!! Bed was super comfy, room was clean, staff was really friendly and the fireplace was a great bonus! In addition, the continental breakfast was perfect and delivered to our room!!

We had been looking forward to our visit to the Monach Cove Inn for quite awhile. We picked late October to coincide with the butterfly migration. We found the property to be a little "under the weather." Granted the inn dates back to the 1920s, but the dry rot on window sills and handrails is maintenance not age. Our room... More

We had a great time at Monarch Cove Inn. It's not cheap and the rooms are not large, but they are very cozy, warm and pretty. I liked the fireplace. The service is very helpful, the location is fantastic, close to a beautiful beach on one end and capitola village on the other. The breakfast was great too. I will... More

This was our third visit to the Monarch Cove Inn. We love everything about this place. The rooms are comfy and welcoming. The breakfast is delicious but not too much. And when the sun came out, there were butterflies! And dolphins in the bay. All together a lovely stay. And we walked to Capitola village for dinner. Easy walk and... More

Monarch Cove is worth every penny spent on accommodations. From the fantastic ocean views (we stayed in the Ocean Mist Suite) to the Yummy breakfast, served right to your room. The walk to Capitola Villiage or even to Gail's Bakery is very handy. I have seen preprations for weddings being assembled and they look amazing. I won't stay anywhere else... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. Loved the monarch grove! Easy walk to Capitola downtown, Management was gracious. Lovely continental breakfast. We would stay again and would recommend to friends (or anyone) who enjoy a period sort of place to stay - a bit of the Victorian style may put some folks off. We enjoyed it.

Amazing venue for a wedding. We'd love to come back just us. We were in the Victorian room and had a fantastic view. It was spacious, clean, warm and comfortable. The pillow-top mattress was especially nice. Loved walking into town and hearing waves crashing everywhere we went. Really special place. Only downside was our friend's room (the Holiday suite) smelled... More
