We stayed at the Bear Flag Inn in the fall of 2007 and liked it so much we went back for 6 nights this past September 2009 and it was as outstanding as the first time. Our flight was extremely late getting in but out hosts Dennis and Marge had left the lights on and the key on the coffee...

My husband and I stayed at the Bear Flag Inn for our honeymoon. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect experience. Dennis and Marjorie are wonderful, kind and special people who exceeded our expectations of what a B&B in wine country should be. In fact, they set the bar! Extravagant homemade breakfasts and fantastic coffee, spacious, comfortable guest rooms,...

The Bear Flag Inn was just what my husband and I needed for our weekend get-away to the Napa Valley. It is located just a little bit up the road from Calistoga, very close to town. The grounds have vines buffering the road (of course), and fruit trees and table grapes closer to the house. We experienced no traffic noise...

My wife and I spent several days in Northern California on our 25th anniversary, so we decided to try several B&Bs in the area. Bear Flag Inn was our favorite, largely due to the hospitality of owners Dennis and Marge, although the Inn itself is very pleasant and relaxing. They clearly enjoy what they do and are great conversationalists and...

We were just in wine country for one night on our tour from San Francisco up to Northern California and were glad to find the Bear Flag Inn. Although the price was expensive, it was comparable to all of the other B&B's in the area. The room was great and had it's own entrance. The happy hour was our favorite...

We enjoyed two wonderful nights at the Bear Flag Inn. It was small and quaint and VERY welcoming. Dennis and Marge are wonderful hosts, and we enjoyed wine/beer and appetizers with them both evenings. Our room was clean and enjoyable - Lovenia. It was wonderful having our own entrance. Breakfast was great and was the perfect start to our day...

We stayed one night at the Peter Storm room. It was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. We took advantage of the afternoon wine and snacks and ended up enjoying a wonderful conversation with Marjorie and Dennis through the evening. They are very warm and inviting people and we very much enjoyed our stay there.

This was our first time in Napa and just loved Calistoga. Nice small town section with great restaurants. The Bear Flag Inn owners Dennis & Marge make you feel at home, and truly enjoy visiting with their guests. We stayed two nights in the Lovina Graves room which was nicely appointed. If you are there during the "crush", there will...

If I had to sum up my stay at the Bear Flag Inn, it would be like staying at an old friend's house! Instantly welcomed and treated with warmth and bonhommie.... Thoughts of going out for dinner disappeared with every glass of wine we drank with Dennis and Marjorie and sitting in the lounge chewing the fat was far more...

My girlfriend and I stayed at this wonderful bed and breakfast. The hostesses (Dennis and Marg) are absolutely delightful and make you feel as if you are part of their family. Breakfasts were wonderful, as were the accommodations. Dennis makes his own wine and brews his own beer (some of the best I've ever tasted) and offered up his selections...
