We booked a room with the intention of pampering ourselves. We wanted to relax and that's what we got at Roman Spa. The front desk staff are great and the room with a kitchen is large. The pools are well maintained and the courtyard is very comfortable...Tables, chairs and umbrellas amongst plants and pavers. There were two barbecues available but... More

We have been coming to Calistoga for 30 yrs and this was our first time staying at Roman Spa. We wish we would have found it sooner!!! What a gem!! Quiet, peaceful and relaxing! We felt is was worth the price for the how peaceful it was. Other places have too many people and more of a party vibe. If... More

Located in a rather unassuming building, the Roman Spa is reasonably priced for the Calistoga area (we investigated similar treatments and found that other locations charged as much as double). This was our first - and last - mud bath. It's just not an experience we enjoyed. That said, we know several people who find them relaxing. At this particular... More

Thank you for your comments. As you stated, mud baths are a very unique treatment and are not for everyone although it was wonderful that you were willing to try the authentic Calistoga experience. It's wonderful to hear that your therapist was intuitive and able to provide you with a relaxing and excellent massage. We look forward to serving you... More

Our first visit to Calistoga was so relaxing because we stayed at this lovely inn. I felt as if I went back into time to the days of a real vacation. Lovely pool and hot spring spa pool (although completely full of people not swimming for the majority of the time) and reasonably big rooms but incredibly expensive. Really nice area but overall not really worth the money.

Thank you for your comments. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed our mineral water and the overall size of our guest rooms. Our three pools are all geothermal water pumped directly from local hot springs. We consider our pools to be soaking pools and thus are not meant to be utilized as swimming or lap pools as our guests... More

We called around to all the spa's before landing on Roma. They were the only place we could find to have a private couple's mud bath in a romantic setting. There was a mud bath, showers and bath jacuzzi's in the same room. After there is time to relax in the spa. It was a very unique experience and the... More
