Indian Springs Calistoga’s palm tree-lined drive unfolds into 17 stunning acres of rolling hills and ponds, lush olive trees and fragrant gardens, bursting with lavender and roses. Our accommodations are comprised of an eclectic collection of historic cottages, luxurious bungalows, Mission Revival-style buildings and 2 to 3 bedroom homes spread out across our 17 acres, each providing a unique view and a different feel. The end result remains the same—luxury and warmth without all the fuss—outdoor spaces that bring you closer to the environment and indoor spaces with whimsical details and spa-like features. Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Reviews summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
Indian Springs Calistoga offers a charming and luxurious atmosphere that many guests find relaxing, with its prime location earning consistent praise for convenience. While the hotel boasts a range of praised amenities like warm mineral pools, a spa, and family-friendly activities, some visitors feel these do not justify the high cost, citing room quality and service inconsistencies.
Guest opinions on service and rooms are split; some experience excellent care and clean, well-decorated spaces, while others encounter unprofessionalism and rooms that are small or outdated.

Detailed Reviews
I love this place - I know it's in Napa and you're supposed to go out and wine taste and go to great restaurants, but when I'm there I never want to leave. The rooms are adorable and the beds are amazing. The massages are mind-blowing and the hot springs pool is the most relaxing thing in the world. And the restaurant right there is pretty good, too.
This time, there were some loud kids staying near us who stomped around a bunch. I was just surprised the walls and ceiling were so thin - normally there are no issues.
But overall, definitely a great place to go as a couple and get away. We normally only stay for a night or two but come back so well-rested and happy.

We got lucky with the weather and our room. The Lodge was under renovation, so management switched us to a Geyser View room in Unit #5. We were very pleased with our free upgrade! We enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the morning and an order of churros with a cup of hot cocoa for dessert in the evening at Sam's Social Club.

We loved it here. Will definitely be back. Not cheap even with winter pricing but we had no complaints. Quiet and clean room, amazing locale, nice people. Food at Sam's is good...breakfast is amazing. Great stay. And the bikes are a nice touch.

Immediately on entering the grounds it feels like a special place. The rooms overlooking the gardens have patios for sitting with morning coffee or evening glass of wine and the large mineral pool beckons with its warmth...fireplace and sofas ....

We have been to Indian Springs a number of times in the past 10 years. It doesn't disappoint. With the restaurant and newer guest rooms it's even better than ever. We look forward to going back with our kids.

We really enjoyed our stay. The only suggestion I would make is to better hide the work stations ( bejknd the spa) and all the pipes and stuff around the geizer. I understand that may not be possible.

We have been to Indian Springs many times over the years. An error in an accommodation last year occurred however IS graciously made amends, so we booked a week day get away. It was once again a great place to stay. Perhaps because it was mid week it was quiet. It was our first time to try Sam's restaurant. Delicious breakfast. Thank you.

I've been coming here for years and I I I l I love Indian Springs although I definitely miss the complimentary mud baths and the more old school feel of the resort as it once was , but it is still one of my favorite places in Calistoga!

I have been going to Indian Springs for 20 years, and truly love it. They have recently done a huge expansion and mostly it's nice, but it no longer feels cozy and homey...it has a bit of a corporate vibe now, which is disappointing. And it's a bit crowded. But I still really like the setting, so I will probably keep going back.

Our overall stay was great. Definitely will return. However, since you asked I will suggest. The grounds had a bit too much trash for the number of employees walking around. Main pool too dirty for not many people using it that day. Overall great time had by all.

My opinion only; but, Geyser View definitely!!!!!!
Upstairs absolutely because of privacy and not a lot of people walking in front of you. Best experience would be the corner rooms because they are totally enclosed just for your room, fireplace and king bed. We had corner room Building #5 and it was perfect.
They actually have a lovely little built-in espresso machine. The problem was that it was hard not to spill, which the rug underneath demonstrated, and we were unable to clean it as grounds were everywhere inside the machine which didn’t come out of the built-in place. They did provide Illy coffee
I don't think the sulfur smell is very strong. It's not like nasty rotten eggs. However, if you are very sensitive, I think you'd prefer a hill view. The geysers are quite prominent, which is a large part of the rustic and original charm. Love that place!! Have fun!
No kitchen. Couch and small chair, coffee maker in living room, which is around 12 x12, Not much privacy. I was very disappointed.
