This is a nice, comfortable and small hotel. The spa is very good, and I recommend everybody to have a massage. The location is very good, you can reach everything on foot. I enjoyed not being disturbed by children.

This is a review for the mud bath treatment, didnt stay at the hotel on this occasion. Took a drive with a girlfriend to the spa, booked the basic mud bath. My first time there, my friend has been there before and recommended the experience. It was a little smelly on arrival, the sulphur and peat combination in the mud,...

This is a wonderful place for a quick get-away from the city, a romantic weekend, or a fun time with a few friends. There were 4 of us in a suite...and it was perfect. Both bedroom, and living room with sofa bed were good sized. Sofa bed so comfortable. Everyone super nice in giving us extra soap, towels, etc. We...

This comfortably updated old-time spa was a great country escape! Attractive room, numerous outdoor areas for lounging or picnics and a choice of wonderful mineral baths plus fabulous massages made our short stay a real treat. No restaurant facilities but Calistoga's main Street is only a block away with lots of yummy choices for coffee, breakfast, lunch or dinner.

This is a great hotel for everyone, families, friends, couples. The are 4 pools, a kiddies, a lap pool in the 80s, a large soaking pool in the 90s and the large hot tub. The pool is open to others outside for a fee, but you don't really see any real Impact. Nice lounges, and a firepit make evening soaking...

One of the issues we had when we were there was that the side gates were not being used and it seems like a violation of an ADA code having only one exit. Our son, who is 43 years old and in a wheelchair, commented on this. I truly hope you have rectified that situation!

Awesome facility with 25 metre lap pool plus soaking pools for a special moment. Massages are a special treat and professionally managed. We are very satisfied with the accommodations and caring attitude of the staff...including housekeeping. Discovered this place over 30 years ago and it is a special relaxing respite for us...we now make an annual pilgrimage for 7 -...

My wife and I did not stay here in their hotel but we did use their spa and mineral water pools. After walking around to visit various spas in downtown Calistoga we decided that they had the best overall value package for us for a traditional mud bath, mineral bath, steam and massage spa treatment. You can't do this spa...

check in isn't early enough, check out isn't late... sometimes you do not get your room till 3 PM, and the your expected to be out by 11 AM. No clear signage.... The last time we stayed, the south gate was "inoperative." One of us has mobility issues, and this was inconvenient.

Although the setting is wonderful and nearly any hotel would do, this overpriced spas looks like it's architect works behind the counter most days at Home Depot. The rooms are clean and the maids and pool staff are friendly but the front desk were indifferent and less than helpful: I made an appointment for a massage and was told to...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Calistoga Spa Hot Springs, a geothermal hot springs resort, recently completed an extensive renovation project that has dramatically transformed a property that has been attracting repeat guests for generations. Located in downtown Calistoga, the 56-room hotel and spa was completely redesigned with a contemporary spa inspired look and feel. The eighteen month long renovation has touched all aspects of the property including a redesign of the guestrooms with spa-inspired bedding, honed Italian porcelain tile showers, kitchenettes with microwave ovens and modern conveniences such as full High Definition LED televisions. The focal points of the renovation are the four-geothermal heated mineral pools. The pool deck was fitted with travertine tiles, new designer-inspired pool furniture and the inclusion of grape covered arbors. ... more   less

2 Queen beds. I like to be on the 1st floor by the pool entrance for easy in and out. My kids lover the Candy Train across the way and the Palisades Cafe is nice and easy walk for brunch.
