First time visitors, we booked Suite No 5 (as recommended on another Tripadvisor review) and it is certainly the best room in the house. The bed was extremely hard - but that's always subjective. The quality of the look and feel of the hotel is definitely top notch. Staff really friendly and welcoming - a special thank you to Sandra on...

We stayed in the hotel over the New Year holiday. Stunning drive down to Machrihanish with a stop for lunch at Tarbert, Loch Fyne. The hotel has a real quality feel about it, with well trained friendly staff and a great pub next door (which we ate in as the main restaurant was fully booked). Great value for money. I...

We had such a great time last New Year that we came back again and brought some more family and friends with us. Everyone loved it and had a great time. The food on New Year's Eve was excellent and we enjoyed the music and atmosphere - we even had a wee dance! The cottages were as comfortable as ever...

Just returned from a 3 night break at the Ugadale Hotel over New Year 2013/14. The hotel was excellent and our room had a great view out to sea and over to the 1st tee on Machrihanish Golf Club. The hotel is part of a development called the Village at Machrihanish Dunes which is slightly confusing as the Machrihanish Dunes...

We visited family in Campbeltown who looked after our son. We stayed at Ugadale for two days which was great. The hotel was ideal, the room was lovely, the restaurant was closed as it was winter but the bar / restaurant a short walk away was probably just as good. Only negative was I asked bacon and poached eggs for...

I Have stayed at the Ugadale Hotel for 3 nights this week and can not fault the service, facilities or staff here.. the food was home cooked and plenty of variety on the menu.. they accomodated a meeting for 25 of us at short notice with very reasonable cost per head for refreshments and lunch.. all in all an excellent...

Recently stayed at the Villages at Machrihanish Dunes for a golf stay, 8-15 oct. travelled with 3 others to experience the truest form of golf. We were not disappointed. We stayed at the cottages at the Ugadale Hotel. The cottages are clean and large enough for the four of us to be comfortable. The restaurants and staff are exceptional. We...

I just got back from Machrihanish and wanted to add my praise for the accommodations, golf and people associated with Machrihanish Dunes. I have been a member at Machrihanish Golf Club for 20 years and love it dearly. Over the years I and my guests have stayed pretty much everywhere in the Campeltown hotels and the Machrihanish B&B's. This year...
