Redwood Motel is a clean, quiet, and comfortable motel with friendly staff. We are nestled in the high sierra, north-end of Bridgeport, and at the corner of Twin Lakes Road and Main Street. Our non-smoking rooms (some allowing pets) include a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee-maker, air-conditioning, Directv on flat-screen TV's, and free internet access. Guests enjoy the BBQ access in the common area and relaxing in our gazebo. Fisher-people appreciate the fish cleaning center and the ability to store and/or freeze their catch with the supplies and freezer provided. We are pet-friendly (as Lucas, the Owners dog, could express) but also set-aside rooms that have never allowed pets for those with allergies. Also provided is a morning snack (juice and pastry) to get you started on your day.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stayed here on the way to Yosemite. Had a family room with a rollaway bed for the third child. Everything was clean enough, coffee-maker, lots of towels. Gas station opposite. Not particularly friendly & mainly used by men with pick-ups! Unlikely to return.

The owner told me the Motel was built right after World War II by a returning veteran. He called it the Redwood Hotel because it was built out of redwood, which was cheap at the time. It's a small one-story hotel on the west end of downtown (downtown is only three blocks long). All the rooms have been updated with good wifi, ceiling fans, a microwave and fridge, and an easy-to-use TV. The breakfast was definitely limited--just sweet rolls and juice--but otherwise I was very happy with the place.

Tried to make reservations with a Senior Discount. Owner actually swore at me on the phone because I was asking for a discount. Never going to stay there again. Have stayed a half dozen times in the past and it was poor to average.

Booked this for 5 people and the room was exactly as described. It was comfortable for the 5 of us. There was a fridge and microwave as well as a coffee machine. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the beds & towels. Neither appeared old or well used but almost new. The room was ready and the key waiting for us when we arrived, no person to person contact necessary, worked out well arriving after 9pm. Once in the room you didn't hear the room next to you, that was pleasant and private. Overall the experience was very nice, the garden and all amenities were cozy chic. We look forward to staying here again.

The Redwood Motel is a hidden gem found on the North End of Bridgeport, California. Clean and friendly place to spend your Eastern Sierra vacation. Prime location to access Bridgeport Reservoir, The Upper and Lower Twin Lakes and many beautiful steams from Robinson to the Walkers. Ed is amazing and helpful. He even took my postcards to the Post Office. God's country for sure! Thank you for another World Class stay at the Redwood Motel.

This motel is a little bit outdated and the room is small. But it is clean and the price is good. It is a little bit too close to the highway, so you can hear the noise from the road all night. If you don't really care about it, this is a good place for one night.

The room was clean and comfortable. It had a coffee maker and a hair dryer and enough outlets to power up phones and other devices. The receptionist was welcoming and friendly and there is some interesting sculpture work in the yard, especially the big cow. There is no restaurant at the motel but they hand out pastries for the morning. And there are several places to eat within a short distance.

Nicole, the front desk clerk, was very friendly and helpful. My room shows signs of age but is very clean and has been updated. No shampoo was provided but there was a coffee maker in the room as well juice and danish at the office.

Reserved a room here two nights before our arrival, when we found out that even tho we had a reservation at another place in Bridgeport, it was not going to be honored. Good thing I called to confirm. The Redwood was clean and comfortable.

My brother and I stayed here 10-1-18 to 10-4-18. It reminded me of my grandmother's house in Washington State. It was warm and cozy, a little small and unlevel, and very comfortable. There was plenty of hot water, a thermostat that worked well, a small fridge, a microwave, and plenty of coffee. If you wanted a danish and juice for the next morning, you could pick it up the day before. And they were very generous with their ice! (Just in case you caught some fish in the nearby reservoir.) The owners were very friendly and the housekeeping was terrific. We really enjoyed our stay!
