Wow...after reading the other reviews..im suprised...We had a great time...We where looking for somewhere close for a quick get away place....and we found it...the hotel is old it was build in the 1950's ..but very clean .... its not a not a big end corporation hotel...kinda of like a family owned place....the pool was not heated but it was in...

We had a very disappointing experience, sadly as we'd been hoping to try this quaint mid-century modern architectural gem. Broken toilet, dimly light, noisy bar frig, tub filled up when showering, pool not heated and spa in terrible shape, no shade by the pool, chaise lounges in very sad condition. The Costco giant shampoo bottle in the shower was odd....and...

No one at the desk to receive us, so we had to search for someone to check us in. An odd way to welcome guests. The bed, albeit comfortable, was falling apart, as was the table on which sat the TV. Both of these things were reported to the management, but neither was fixed during our stay. No TV remote...

Absolutely the worst hotel we have ever endured. The inn itself is a tarnished gem – a 1950s style desert resort with a classic oversized pool; but the facility is understaffed, undermaintained, and grotesquely overpriced. Paint is peeling from walls, the finish on the pool tile and Jacuzzi surfaces are fractured and worn, weeds grow in the “landscaping”, the front...

The Cabana room #11 had a fantastic view of the olympic size pool that was frigid-not heated but the outdoor spa was perfect as it was medium warm and we liked it. The bathroom floor was dirty as I dropped a towel and it had a dirty print under it. The Cabana room was very nicely and simply decorated with...

A most wonderful and peaceful setting. The rooms retain vintage 1940's art deco when they were originally built. A lot of history here that is nicely described in a binder in the room. We had one of the better rooms - mini-suite with a seperate sitting room, and loved it. The hotel personnel and restaurant staff were very friendly and...

This may well be a very nice hotel but watch out for the fine print. I booked a couple of rooms here for my wife and parents thinking it would be a nice to hang out by the pool and get a nice meal in the restaurent for a quuick trip in August. Well, over the course of several phone...

Submitted for your approval....okay, maybe that's a bit unfair. But when you arrive at a hotel you sort of expect that someone - a desk clerk, a bellhop, a cook, a car park guy, a gardener, pool boy or chambermaid - might be there to meet you. Not at The Palms - at least, not if you arrive after hours!...

We have tried most of the hotels in Borrego but keep coming back to the Palms. The service is sometimes hit and miss and rooms have a rustic feel but the place oozes character and is in a great location. Rooms: As has been well documented, they are of vastly differing quality. In the Flower Season, the good ones book...

There are rooms that are by the pool which seemed nice and what I thought I was going to get. However there is another side to this hotel that they do not tell you about, rooms at the backside of the hotel, small windows, no screens, right above the kitchen exhaust and the back of the kitchen. The view is...
