Everything you could expect from a cozy motel next to the highway. In this case beautiful Highway 395. The owners and staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean. The bed very comfortable. Fridge and microwave in the bathroom. The under-the-window heater/AC was the usual noisy monstrosity.

All you could want at a good price. Store is across the way. Restaurants nearby. Quite and peaceful even thought it is on the main raod. Clean and comfy beds. Parking spot right in front of the rooms. And they use real keys!!

Nice and clean room, comfy bed, clean soft towels and microwave and fridge and dog friendly. Really nice little motel for a reasonable price and a couple doors down a very nice diner that has great service and food with a pet friendly patio. I plan on staying here again.

Was unsure what to expect but on arrival was pleasantly surprised. We had room 20 which had 2 double beds and a single. There was a fully equipped kitchen area with microwave and hob and all utensils. Nice fluffy carpet and homely feel to the rooms which are wooden clad on the inside. Had a lovely stay and would recommend...

This motel is ideally located for a visit to the Bristlecone forest. Price was fairly reasonable. Staff was friendly and helpful but they were also busy/distracted due to the unusual feature that they run the motel from the High Country Market next door to the motel. The walls of the room are pretty thin and we had some loud people...

Quiet and clean, Great value for your money, highly recomended. I would definatly stay here again if I come around. Reflects the commitment of a family-owned business competing against the "who cares" staff of many chains.

Needed a place to stay for a couple nights not far from Bishop. Big Pine is only 15 - 20 minutes down the road. Decided to try Bristlecone Motel. First off, price was only $104 a night, which was substantially less than a comparable place in Bishop (summer weekends are booked up fast). Second, room was big. Two fulls and...

Check-in and check-out was easy and friendly. Comfortable bed and pillow. However carpet was kinda dirty and the place did not feel very clean. But for the price and for one night, it was OK. It was also quiet which is a plus. The 3 stars only goes because the place needs to be updated.

We stayed at the Bristlecone manor for one night. We slept in the mobile/module home. It was very big and clean. The ac was very noisy because the windows couldn't close properly. The light in the bedroom with the 2 single beds didn't work.
