Front desk and service personnel were very good to excellent. Penny is the best. Restaurant food and service were average to poor. The cook and servers were helping a small group so much that the other hotel guests waited for a long time for a menu and food. Also, the food was undercooked, covered with a salty and bitter sauce.

We had an enjoyable one-night stay. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was very friendly. The hotel is close to everything in the Big Bear Lake area. My family and I enjoyed the made-to-order hot breakfast.

Pleasant stay, good break fast, helpful staff. I do have to mention that the room 116 where we stayed could feel the noise from upstairs room and the people walking down the stairs that were adjacent to this room.

We were surprised to see a few negative reviews on this property, as it is very nice and clean with a huge breakfast included. The staff were quite friendly and helpful, and the gas fireplace in the room is a romantic touch. The bed was very comfy but the pillows were all too thick. We know thick pillows look nice... More

It's a lovely hotel. We have stayed there twice with our little pug. Love the amenities they have for dogs. Love the gas fireplace in our room. The room is small, but it worked just fine for our short stay. It's conveniently located in town. We stayed at a little cabin a few years ago and it was AWFUL in... More

Beautiful Hotel! The staff was very friendly and helpful upon our check-in. We had a very nice room with a balcony overlooking the pool and forest of trees. Be aware the 2nd floor does have some stairs to reach it. Our room was very clean and had a jetted tub and electric fireplace. The included breakfast was very nice with... More

Staying at Best Western is PERFECT because it is in a GREAT location, has the BEST BREAKFAST included and ALLOWS PETS for a reasonable pet fee. The staff is pleasant and rooms and hotel itself is very clean. Can't ask for anything else but to... More

Great weekend stay. Love the chateau décor. Room was cozy with a sliding doors for some fresh air. Fitness center wasn't that great, so week took a morning stroll after a yummy breakfast. Only con was the air was centrally controlled so we could make the room cooler. Glad a cool breeze was coming in. All staff was pleasant and... More
