The Gold Mountain Manor is a great place to share fun times with friends and family. Cathy the owner is outstanding and her staff is exceptional. The rooms are cozy and there is nothing better than walking in the front door from a long day of skiing and being offered a hot peppermint tea. No place better in big bear!

Don't get me wrong, it was a nice place. It just wasn't worth the expensive cost. It was also a few miles from the lake. The ground are gorgeous. I would imagine even nicer in autumn and spring. (winter would be snow covered). The rooms were funky. Bed was two feet off the ground. We felt like we needed a...

The B&B was beautiful and comfy. In the afternoon, we were offered homemade soup and appetizers along with various bottles of wine. Our room (The Bouquet...

Gold Mountain Manor excels in ambience, luxury, and the highest level of service. Their breakfasts are gourmet and first rate. The rooms are spacious, luxurious, and beautifully decorated. This is a fantastic, relaxing escape from the aggravations of fast paced living. We have stayed here on multiple occasions and will return as often as possible.

“Fair warning: the Clark Gable does not have it's own bathroom attached. The Presidential Suite in my opinion is probably the best.”

“If you can't go up stairs, choose the Pine Knot room, or the Ted Ducey room. If you can go upstairs try to get the Presidential Suite (gemstones in the fireplace!) or the Clark Gable room. Romantic!!”
