When I was told I would be staying at the Aloes in Pitseng for a workshop I looked it up on Trip Advisor and was dismayed by reading a review from someone whose gratuitous comments about Lesotho, apart from being irrelevant to his experience of the Aloes Guesthouse, were borderline racist. Having now visited Lesotho and stayed for a week...

Friendly staff, nice looking guesthouse, best there is in the area there. Of course, you have to notice that this guesthouse is in a very poor area in a very poor country. So, don't expect any luxury. The guestouse is neat, looking fine (considering what i just mentioned), and the staff is helpfull. We were there in a cold period,...

Before commenting on Aloes, I should repeat the points made elsewhere here: Lesotho is a very third world country with frighteningly high HIV/AIDS rates and a life expectancy at birth of 35. Any white person you see here is a visitor, not a Lesotho national. Almost half the population live below the international poverty level, so in rural areas (that's...

The accommodation, hospitality & surroundings all exceeded our expectation. We originally thought that the meals would not meet with Muslims requirements but were astounded when we were catered for. All key tourist sites are approximately 2 hour drive from this lovely place, such as Katse dam, Afriski @ Maseru. Keep up the good work. Muhammad Bagus & family.

I stayed at Aloes in Pitseng in January this year and I must admit it was really lovely staying there; the views were amazing and the reception lady was friendly and helpful. I stayed in the dormitory style accommodation but had the entire room to myself. The room was very clean and so were the shower rooms and everywhere else....

We were travelling through Lesotho last week and planned a one night stay at Aloes Guesthouse. The experience there was very positive and the accommodation met our expectations. The staff was very friendly. In fact, we stopped by early during a very raining day as we couldn't get past the police safety stop on the way to Katse Dam due...

Aloes Guest House offers a few different types of accommodations. I stayed in a double in one of the newer buildings. It was comfortable. With a TV (I think 4 or 5 channels) , a mini fridge, and kettle. No iron or ironing board that I could see and no microwave. The room was clean and generous with two queen...
