The back bay inn is an understated pleasurable experience - the ground staff are so helpful and lovely.... the grounds are very clean and well kept- The cafe staff are amazing and a real plus to this establishment. I have found a few of the front desk staff to be a little slow- but otherwise everything is awesome. Can't beat...

This was our third visit here and will not be our last! It is the perfect place to get away from it all and just enjoy the scenery. We were only here for one night, as we were on our way home from Northern California, and needed a "rest stop" about halfway. We were in a garden room - very...

Stayed in Los Osos Ca a second night at a different B&B since we were not happy with the first one. Not sure which was worse. The Bay Back Inn B&B also was not what we were use to. This room was just like renting a hotel room, nothing special. The Inn keeper was very pleasant not like the so...

See the pictures - I cannot say enough about the Back Bay Inn. My friends love the Baywood which I am sure is lovely, but this place is RIGHT on the water! Sue & Larry (the Inn managers?). So over the top accommodating and nice. We honeymooned in Room #103. Yes it is the handicapped room. I am not graceful...

We traveled to the Central Coast for a visit with some high school friends on the weekend of a yearly music festival. We stayed two nights and dined in Morro Bay where there is an array of restaurants. The sunset view over the scenic bay is very tranquil and there is very little traffic for a restful night. The staff...

I am so happy that we came across this wonderful property on Trip Advisor. We were looking for somewhere near San Simeon to stay during our honeymoon road trip on Highway 1 and the Back Bay Inn couldn't have been more perfect (the drive to Hearst Castle took just over 30 minutes). We chose room #2 but I can imagine...

I cannot think of a better place on the central coast to go hide for a few days. This place is light years nicer than nearly anything you'll find in actual Morro Bay. There are few things better than staring out at the water from your comforable king size bed through the double doors to your private patio feet away...

What's better than sitting on your king bed (where you had a great sleep), looking out at the bay (50' feet away) smelling fresh brewed coffee a short walk away (the walk is through an English garden of beautiful flowers) while catching the morning news. Then being lured back to the coffee house to have a home made frittata with...

We stayed at the Back Bay Inn a few years ago, the gardens are even more beautiful now. The inn is a great stop while driving from Big Sur/Monterey to Santa Barbara. This time we went into San Luis Obispo, great little town for lunch. The Back Bay Inn now owns the adjoining coffee shop where we got our free...
